IMPORTANCE, AIMS AND POSSIBLE OUTCOME OF RESEARCH<br />

Breast and ovarian cancer are the most frequent tumorous diseases in women.<br />

More than 22% of patients have BRCA gene mutation. Efficient targeted therapy<br />

has been discovered recently. Allelic loss (Loss-of-Heterozygosity) is the most<br />

frequent type of somatic inactivation of BRCA. In Hungary, there is no applicable<br />

method for detecting LOH. So, our aim is to develop a routine genetic test to<br />

detect allelic loss, which is based on next-generation sequencing.<br />

AIMS DURING HER CAREER<br />

As a doctor I always wanted to cure my patients as efficiently as possible. I would<br />

like to apply the new diagnostic methods and therapies which means a lifetime<br />

learning and research.<br />
