Al Salamu Alaykum…<br />
The programs and projects implemented by Wafaa, Micro finance and capacity-building, contribute in<br />
strengthening the resilience of families and individuals from all Palestinian society segments, such as<br />
women, children, youth, people with special needs , marginalized communities and orphans who face<br />
economic and social difficulties, and aim to improve their standards of living.<br />
Wafaa believes that the various empowerment programs for families and individuals are capable of<br />
converting them from aid Recipients into productive members who contribute in improving their<br />
financial situation, uplifting their communities’ economy and reducing the high rates of unemployment<br />
and poverty.<br />

Group<br />
Many of the great achievements mankind has<br />
accomplished since creation has started by the<br />
dreams of their owners which motivated them to obtain<br />
great accomplishments.<br />
Wafaa has planned to transform its great dream by contributing in<br />
combating poverty and vulnerability in the Islamic world, focusing on<br />
refugees, especially in Palestine and the Diaspora, who are in a vital need to<br />
be supported financially and morally, as they are suffering from the oppressive<br />
occupation and its consequences.<br />
With the cooperation of many faithful individuals and institutions, we have shared<br />
this dream and turned it into reality .Wafaa with the cooperation of its’ partners has<br />
Implemented great accomplishments such as building the capacities of a tremendous<br />
segments of the deprived people in economic empowerment in addition to supporting<br />
health, education and housing sectors, moreover empowering family-headed women<br />
from all over the Islamic world, specifically Palestinians. The positive change in the lives<br />
of those people, and spreading hope are things that make us proud and motivates us<br />
to pursue our dreams and our goals.<br />
We will work on increasing our intervention areas by expanding our strategic and<br />
operational partnerships around the world.<br />
Through this <strong>report</strong>, I call upon all the organizations and institutions who work in<br />
the humanitarian and relief sector in the Arab and Islamic world to escalate their<br />
cooperation.<br />
I also hereby call the private and governmental sectors to cooperate in facilitating<br />
the work and the implementation of the activities of these institutions to<br />
achieve that dream.<br />
Through hard work and joint cooperation, humanity is empowered and<br />

It is my honor to present to you the annual <strong>report</strong><br />
of Wafaa International Group- Palestine Office, in<br />
which we feature our main accomplishments that reflect<br />
our vision focusing on spreading hope and happiness in the<br />
Palestinian community that has witnessed many harsh situations<br />
since the last decade to achieve decent live and safe communities,<br />
We aim to empower families, unemployed youth, through capacity<br />
building projects and initiatives.<br />
Emphasizing on our significant message in providing support to all<br />
Palestinian segments for a better future, we have been working in the<br />
field as Bee hives to implement the most efficient programs in our<br />
communities through using all of our experiences and efforts to provide<br />
the best Empowerment practices.<br />
We aim to implement radical changes and to create a new community<br />
that has productivity and donation as its main values. Wafaa has<br />
focused on all social sectors as we have targeted women, patients,<br />
students, and people with special needs.<br />

About Us<br />
The idea of Wafaa International Group was founded by the initiative of the Republic of Indonesia in<br />
2008, after the recommendation of the International Humanitarian Conference to provide assistance<br />
to the victims of occupation and refugees, in addition to develop and build capacities. In 2009, Wafaa<br />
was registered as a non-profit organization in the Republic of Indonesia, Turkey, Lebanon, London<br />
and Austria.<br />
In 2014, Wafaa’s Office in Palestine was established and registered as a non-profit organization, with<br />
its’ main office in the West Bank-Ramallah.<br />

Zero Interest Loans Program<br />
(Small Businesses)<br />
The Zero Interest Loans program aims to lift poor families and women<br />
from poverty, into the circle of production and self-reliance, by<br />
empowering them through small projects that will be financed through<br />
zero interest loans, paid at long intervals, with an easy monthly<br />
payment and with a grace period of 3 months.<br />
Financial Empowerment project for Women in Qalandia<br />
Refugee camp<br />
Women’s Financial Empowerment project in Qalandia refugee Camp<br />
has targeted 51 women and poor families by converting them from<br />
families receiving assistance to productive families, consequently, a<br />
number of projects have been developed, such as groceries, restaurants,<br />
embroidery, sewing and other crafts.<br />
Palestinian youth Empowerment Project<br />
Wafaa implements Palestinian Youth Empowerment program, which<br />
aims to reduce the unemployment rates among Palestinian youth<br />
by empowering them through developing their existing projects or<br />
creating new ones, through Zero Interest Loans Program. It aims to<br />
provide income to their families independently, as the project aims<br />
to enable 140 young men and women from 18 to 30 years old with<br />
one million USD Budget, Eight young men from different governorates<br />
have benefited from the project.<br />

Micro-Enterprises<br />
The project aims to finance microenterprises<br />
through zero interest loans,<br />
24 families have benefited from it in<br />
various areas in the West Bank, focusing<br />
on Askar refugee camp in Nablus.<br />
The project has focused on widowed<br />
women as well as elders and patients<br />
by providing a source of income to their<br />
families through the development or<br />
establishment of income-generating<br />
projects with small loans.<br />

Empowerment Program (Wafer)<br />
WAFER is an integrated program that consists economic and social empowerment for poor families, providing them<br />
with decent living conditions as the program provides zero interest loans for income-generating projects for Palestinian<br />
families along with improving their educational, health and housing circumstances. The total number of beneficiaries of<br />
the project reached 325 families.<br />
Zero Interest Loans Projects:<br />
The economic Empowerment program targeted 24 families by helping them establish income-generating projects.<br />
Education: Wafaa has focused on helping a number of students from poor families in the West Bank areas by contributing<br />
in the payment of their fees; the total number of students benefiting from the program reached 138<br />
students in Palestinian universities.<br />

Relief Intervention Program<br />
To complete our comprehensive approach, Wafaa has worked<br />
on relief aid programs; therefore it has contributed in relief<br />
intervention programs for a number of families in the West Bank,<br />
in which families were targeted through several projects, such as:<br />
1. The ‘Adahi’ Project, which benefited 541 families of orphans<br />
distributed in different areas of the West Bank. The Adahi were<br />
delivered during AL-Adha Eid in cooperation with a group of<br />
Palestinian institutions and associations.<br />
2. The ‘Food Basket for Ramadan’ project: It was<br />
implemented in central and northern of the West<br />
Bank, where a food basket (food package) was<br />
provided in ramadan benefiting 400 Palestinian<br />
families.<br />
3. Winter supplies Project: which targeted<br />
about 50 families in different areas of the<br />
West Bank.<br />
