Al Salamu Alaykum…
The programs and projects implemented by Wafaa, Micro finance and capacity-building, contribute in
strengthening the resilience of families and individuals from all Palestinian society segments, such as
women, children, youth, people with special needs , marginalized communities and orphans who face
economic and social difficulties, and aim to improve their standards of living.
Wafaa believes that the various empowerment programs for families and individuals are capable of
converting them from aid Recipients into productive members who contribute in improving their
financial situation, uplifting their communities’ economy and reducing the high rates of unemployment
and poverty.

Group
Many of the great achievements mankind has
accomplished since creation has started by the
dreams of their owners which motivated them to obtain
great accomplishments.
Wafaa has planned to transform its great dream by contributing in
combating poverty and vulnerability in the Islamic world, focusing on
refugees, especially in Palestine and the Diaspora, who are in a vital need to
be supported financially and morally, as they are suffering from the oppressive
occupation and its consequences.
With the cooperation of many faithful individuals and institutions, we have shared
this dream and turned it into reality .Wafaa with the cooperation of its’ partners has
Implemented great accomplishments such as building the capacities of a tremendous
segments of the deprived people in economic empowerment in addition to supporting
health, education and housing sectors, moreover empowering family-headed women
from all over the Islamic world, specifically Palestinians. The positive change in the lives
of those people, and spreading hope are things that make us proud and motivates us
to pursue our dreams and our goals.
We will work on increasing our intervention areas by expanding our strategic and
operational partnerships around the world.
Through this report, I call upon all the organizations and institutions who work in
the humanitarian and relief sector in the Arab and Islamic world to escalate their
cooperation.
I also hereby call the private and governmental sectors to cooperate in facilitating
the work and the implementation of the activities of these institutions to
achieve that dream.
Through hard work and joint cooperation, humanity is empowered and
civilizations are established.

It is my honor to present to you the annual report
of Wafaa International Group- Palestine Office, in
which we feature our main accomplishments that reflect
our vision focusing on spreading hope and happiness in the
Palestinian community that has witnessed many harsh situations
since the last decade to achieve decent live and safe communities,
We aim to empower families, unemployed youth, through capacity
building projects and initiatives.
Emphasizing on our significant message in providing support to all
Palestinian segments for a better future, we have been working in the
field as Bee hives to implement the most efficient programs in our
communities through using all of our experiences and efforts to provide
the best Empowerment practices.
We aim to implement radical changes and to create a new community
that has productivity and donation as its main values. Wafaa has
focused on all social sectors as we have targeted women, patients,
students, and people with special needs.

About Us
The idea of Wafaa International Group was founded by the initiative of the Republic of Indonesia in
2008, after the recommendation of the International Humanitarian Conference to provide assistance
to the victims of occupation and refugees, in addition to develop and build capacities. In 2009, Wafaa
was registered as a non-profit organization in the Republic of Indonesia, Turkey, Lebanon, London
and Austria.
In 2014, Wafaa’s Office in Palestine was established and registered as a non-profit organization, with
its’ main office in the West Bank-Ramallah.

Through its programs, Wafaa International Group aims to:
Provide financial support for small and medium-sized

Use Islamic financing tools and formulas.

Zero Interest Loans Program
(Small Businesses)
The Zero Interest Loans program aims to lift poor families and women
from poverty, into the circle of production and self-reliance, by
empowering them through small projects that will be financed through
zero interest loans, paid at long intervals, with an easy monthly
payment and with a grace period of 3 months.
Financial Empowerment project for Women in Qalandia
Refugee camp
Women’s Financial Empowerment project in Qalandia refugee Camp
has targeted 51 women and poor families by converting them from
families receiving assistance to productive families, consequently, a
number of projects have been developed, such as groceries, restaurants,
embroidery, sewing and other crafts.
Palestinian youth Empowerment Project
Wafaa implements Palestinian Youth Empowerment program, which
aims to reduce the unemployment rates among Palestinian youth
by empowering them through developing their existing projects or
creating new ones, through Zero Interest Loans Program. It aims to
provide income to their families independently, as the project aims
to enable 140 young men and women from 18 to 30 years old with
one million USD Budget, Eight young men from different governorates
have benefited from the project.

Micro-Enterprises
The project aims to finance microenterprises
through zero interest loans,
24 families have benefited from it in
various areas in the West Bank, focusing
on Askar refugee camp in Nablus.
The project has focused on widowed
women as well as elders and patients
by providing a source of income to their
families through the development or
establishment of income-generating
projects with small loans.

Economic and Social
Empowerment Program (Wafer)
WAFER is an integrated program that consists economic and social empowerment for poor families, providing them
with decent living conditions as the program provides zero interest loans for income-generating projects for Palestinian
families along with improving their educational, health and housing circumstances. The total number of beneficiaries of
the project reached 325 families.
Zero Interest Loans Projects:
The economic Empowerment program targeted 24 families by helping them establish income-generating projects.
Education: Wafaa has focused on helping a number of students from poor families in the West Bank areas by contributing
in the payment of their fees; the total number of students benefiting from the program reached 138
students in Palestinian universities.

Health:
During the past year, Wafaa has helped some poor families in their treatments and in providing
some physical needs (Prostheses, wheelchairs and others), Where 98 patients in the West
Bank benefited from this project.

Housing:
Wafaa has interfered in improving the
housing and living environment for
poor families in different areas of the
West Bank, where about 65 families
have benefited from the project.

Relief Intervention Program
To complete our comprehensive approach, Wafaa has worked
on relief aid programs; therefore it has contributed in relief
intervention programs for a number of families in the West Bank,
in which families were targeted through several projects, such as:
1. The ‘Adahi’ Project, which benefited 541 families of orphans
distributed in different areas of the West Bank. The Adahi were
delivered during AL-Adha Eid in cooperation with a group of
Palestinian institutions and associations.
2. The ‘Food Basket for Ramadan’ project: It was
implemented in central and northern of the West
Bank, where a food basket (food package) was
provided in ramadan benefiting 400 Palestinian
families.
3. Winter supplies Project: which targeted
about 50 families in different areas of the
West Bank.
