You came into the world looking like
A LITTLE SWEDE with your
THUNDERSTORM eyes, AUBURN hair
and PEACHES AND CREAM skin.

We found out we were pregnant with you in mid-July. We’d
been trying for 2 months and were beyond excited.

We waited until you were 13
weeks old to have an ultrasound.
Your profile was clearly defined
and we started wondering whose
nose you had and what your

gender might be.

We didn’t find out your
gender, but our doctor
slipped up at one of our
appointments and referred
to you as “he.” We were
convinced you were a boy,
but low and behold you are
a girl. Jenny cried so much
with happiness as her
dream of sisters came true.

We shared our pregnancy with our family the day we
found out and with our close friends a few weeks later.
We announced the pregnancy to our fans via social media
when Jenny was 20 weeks along.

Showered with Love
Jill Altom threw my baby shower. It was a small gathering for
tea as you are our second child. My friends made a piece of
art with ribbons tied to it. They wrote Bible verses or words of
encouragement on the ribbons.
One of my favorites is, “Take my life Lord and hold me.
Take my spirit; console me. Take my life Lord and hold
me to your chest. Sing over me melodies of your love.”

Pregnancy Musings
Tyler sang “What a Wonderful World,” to you most
evenings. It is his special song for you. We prayed
that you would have a gentle spirit and come to
know the Lord and love him. We prayed for silly
things: that you would sleep, eat, and poop well.

Saras ‘ Birth Story

Your birth was fast and furious and not what I
expected. Your sister took her time. With you, we
had to induce, but once the process began you
came in 9 hours. Your daddy supported me through
it all and I couldn’t have done it without him. It was
the hardest and most painful thing I’ve ever done,
but you were worth it.
”

We named Sara at the end of the first day we spent
with her. None of our top names seemed to fit, and
when Tyler suggested Sara it felt right.
We call her lovey, bunny, sweet Sara.

That first night you slept 3 hours
at a time and didn’t have any
trouble going right back to sleep
after feedings.

Jane understands the news
now. A new playmate!
Gigi, Jane, Jill Altom, and Sarah Goodsell all
came to see Sara in the hospital. And then
on April 22nd, we came home!

Sara, you have a mama named Jenny, a daddy named Tyler
and a sister named Jane. But that’s not all.

and is about dreaming sweet dreams together.

Dear Sara,
We wanted you more than you ever could know.
We hoped for you. We dreamed about you. We
waited for you. You are a beautiful blessing from
the Lord and we will do our best to love and
care for you for the rest of our days. We can’t
wait to see what you’ll be like. Will you love music?
Will you be an artist? An athlete? A writer?
We are so excited to watch you grow and
become the little lady you are meant to be. But
don’t grow up just yet. We want to remember
you just the way you are now and cherish
these early days. You will forever be our
babygirl, sweet Sara.
