MIVALE is a changing idea. MIVALE is a bet. The idea for MiVale came to life in September 2016. Mi and Vale met up on the road and since then they have came a long way together. This project is the result of fruitful workshops in schools about gender stereotypes and abuse of women, that involved more than 1500 girls and boys and was organised by the Social Cooperative Aquilone based in Sesto Calende(VA). It came abord from the show: “The white space” – against violence on women; and “ the orange space”- shows for boys and girls about gender stereotypes, which reached more than 2000 people during its tour of Italy. It is the fruit of conferences such as “Educate ondifferences”, promoted by Associazione Scosse”,meetings, courses and collaborations such as the EOSE Against violence centre of Varese. From all these experiences the idea of a faster change was born. A visible change, that you can wear, and you can spread, hang on your bags, bring to the street: culture and ideas you can show to the world. Mi and Vale realised that at the end of the day, the people who take part in meetings, conferences or watch specific TV shows are always the same. These events are full of value and important actions, but through MiVale, the idea is to spark an alternative point of view in people who do not have access to these specific events of programmes. This is why we believe that “wearing an idea” and making a thought visible can have a deep impact, a social importance and bring about change. If a MiVale product is worn at school, at the supermarket or on the streets, everyone has the chance to read the message, and maybe stop to think, make oneself question and look for more information. This is our bet: the one we dare to dream.

If you buy a MIVALE product you choose: - The same opportunity for everyone - A way to teach differences - Freedom to be who you want to be - Freedom to do and become what you want - Equality - The discovery of beauty in diversity Doing this you challenge gender stereotypes!
