AT IT’S BEST<br />
Welcome everyone, to the premiere of our first<br />
<strong>RUG</strong> <strong>STAR</strong> <strong>TUFT</strong> catalogue <strong>WATER</strong>, <strong>EARTH</strong> &<br />
<strong>AIR</strong>, 3 elements which we have chosen in order to<br />
talk about the enormous beauty we can find in our<br />
so beloved world.<br />
In the first chapter <strong>WATER</strong> I will present to you<br />
our two collections Koi and Jellyfish. My tender<br />
characters move flexibly, smoothly and silently<br />
through their environment water. Never forget,<br />
water is the foundation of life on this Earth.<br />
With chapter <strong>EARTH</strong> we enter the world of objects.<br />
I am very proud of the two stunning collections<br />
we created: Orchid and Rooster, beautiful in their<br />
power of details and powerful in their scale.<br />
In our last chapter <strong>AIR</strong> you will meet our always<br />
busy and lively Hummingbirds, looking for nectar<br />
in the calyx and expressing the joy of movement.<br />
With Flying Fish, a couple of lovely fish sail<br />
through a blue and cloudy sky, I will end this<br />
cycle, for which it took me 12 months to create<br />
and produce in Berlin and in the workshops from<br />
Beijing to the South of China.<br />
I am proud to say: our European and Chinese<br />
talents managed a storytelling craftsmanship at<br />
it’s best, with the exquisite graphic potential of the<br />
finest luxury tuft you can get on the market. I love<br />
this product; tuft is my new product baby.<br />
A special thanks to the very talented Berlin<br />
based artist and friend Miron Schmückle, who<br />
created the basic artwork of Jellyfish, Orchid and<br />
Hummingbird for us.<br />
