Sunday September 1o is Surely, two of the most satisfying experiences in life must be those of being a grandchild or being a grandparent. What’s your favorite thing about your grandparents? What’s your favorite thing about being a grandparent? My granddaddy tells great stories and my grandmother has the sweetest smile. Melanie Drake They would always set anything they had going on aside to spend time with us. Suzanne Cole Hearing their stories and how life was for them growing up. They both live out of the country so I don’t get to see them much. But they cook the best food! Gabriel Riveros You get to love on them, spoil them, and give them back to their parents. Emma Veal There’s so many things! The happiness you see in them in their activities is so fulfilling and watching them develop as they grow. Dolly Dawkins It’s GRAND! It’s a precious time where you can do whatever you want to do. It’s not that there aren’t rules, and there is responsibility, but we as grandparents aren’t the ones who have to take care of the details. We have fun! Cheryl Brabham They have such generosity toward the family. Will Osgood They’re still living! I love their stories and traditions that they’re passing on to us. Michael Jones We were always welcome at their house.. Alicia Dunn My favorite thing about being Pawpaw to six grandchildren is the inborn love we have for each other. I also like the fact that my three children understand me better now that they are making parenting decisions.
