FASHION STATEMENT 2017-2018 FORCASTING THE FUTURE
Fashion Trends Forecast Fall Winter 2017 – 2018
Hello to all fashionable people out there,
Fashion weeks are over and I am ready to introduce my list of the fall winter 2017-2018 fashion trends
fresh of the runways around the world.
So here are the most wearable trends that were seen among many big-name designers :
1. Big statement shoulders ( huge shoulder pads)
2. Plaid check blazers and coathes
3. Oversized clothes
4. 80′s fashion
2

My Connections Magazine June 2017
5. Puff Coats
6. Feathers
* Also the velvet, metallic and sparkling fabrics and clothes are still relevant, so keep them visible in
your closet or if you still don’t have them, add them to your shopping list asap!
For those who follow fashion reviews can see that nothing new is happening and most of the listed
above are existing trends , the only thing that I would like to mention is that we have transitioned away
from the 70′s effect and come into the 80’s -90’s era.
So I highly recommend to start visiting vintage stores and accumulate some 80’s inspired clothes.
products and the worst in people." - David Sarnoff, Pioneer of American Commercial Radio
The two major players in rideshare are Uber and Lyft. Let us consider the differences in
these two companies as both a driver, and a passenger.
There is perception. Look at any Uber advertisement; you will see a sleak, suave, new age,
hipster type. The car pictured will be the closest thing possible to a Tesla. When you see Lyft
being promoted, it's pink mustaches, balloons, and guy/girl next door type. You feel like
perhaps you are at a family party where the kids are running and jumping over the
sprinkler. The car looks like a soccer-mom mobile. Although these two companies have
Music social impact on the social trends
Moral impact
Merriam-Webster defines morality as "beliefs about what is right behavior and what is wrong
behavior." A quick Google search on the impact of music on morals will yield many results on the
negative impact it has on society, especially in the realm of rap and hip-hop music. But in all styles of
music nowadays, there are a plethora of songs with lyrics that glorify sex, drugs, and violence. While
research can't concretely link the cause-and-effect behavior of listening to these songs with directly
inducing this type of behavior, many researchers and people agree that it surely encourages it.
I believe that morals and behavior, especially in teens, aren't completely steered by the lyrics they're
listening to, because there are so many factors to building a moral compass. However, music can
definitely play a significant role in determining what seems to be right or wrong, okay or not okay,
and good or bad. Because of this, we need to become wary about the messages that we are
putting out with our songs, but to take it a step further, what if the songs we wrote
intentionally carried positive messages? What if they became anthems that declared hope and
joy, triumphs over weaknesses, courage and love? We would have the influence to empower the
hearts and minds of the next generation, and that is something to truly take hold of.
Emotional impact
This is probably the most identifiable and direct impact music has on people in society. It makes
us feel a certain way. Music sets moods and creates atmospheres. And as humans, we're so
behaviorally influenced by the way we feel. That's why we throw on an upbeat playlist while we're
working out, put on jazz on a romantic date, or get up and dance when a four-on-the-floor beat is
going down. When I wake up in the morning, I know exactly what songs to play to get me focused
and ready for what's up ahead in my day. Now that's powerful.
Music has the potential to change a mood, to shift an atmosphere, and to encourage a
different behavior. In fact, the average American listens to four hours of music each day! Just
imagine what kind of an impact music is having on our emotions throughout the day, whether we
consciously realize it or not. With emotional impact, the most important thing to consider is: What am
10

My Connections Magazine June 2017
I feeling, and how do I want my listeners to feel when they hear this song? Because what you're
feeling will help determine what your listener will feel, and that carries a lot of weight.
So in short, music has the power to culturally, morally, and emotionally influence our society. Thus,
the more intentional we become with the sounds, messages, and moods we create and release
through our music, the more powerful we will become in making deep positive impacts. We have the
mandate and authority as artists and musicians to change the world around us because of the
influence we carry, and that truly makes music something worth dedicating a life to.
Using the resources provided and careful observation, it is clear that music is a powerful
force in human society. Listening to certain music has been shown to improve mood,
increase productivity, and even encourage intellectual growth, while music education can
have an even greater effect. On the negative side, there are also correlations between
promiscuous or violent music and destructive behavior; though some of these correlations
can be attributed to a previously troubled youth, others are not so easy to dismiss. However
wonderful or terrible it may be, music is a cornerstone of human culture; it is a learning
tool, a method of communication, and, for some, a way of life. As such, it should be treated
with respect.
Health and Diet
Treatment for diabetes 2
This section focuses on the medical management of type 2 diabetes. And as the term “ medical
management” implies, this management is done with the guidance of your medical provider and
medical team.
The key principles of medical management are:
• Regular blood sugar (and ketone) self monitoring as a part of daily living
• Taking diabetes medications such as pills, injected medicines or even insulin
• Problem solving how and when to make adjustments in your medication doses to prevent high
or low blood sugars
• Understanding complications and how to screen for, prevent and treat them
Good management requires all of these elements. All the elements are intertwined.
For example, you need to monitor your blood sugar to know if your treatment is successful. You need
to problem solve if the self blood sugar monitoring shows your treatment is not successful. The self
blood sugar monitoring will indicate if you need to start, adjust the dose or change the type of
diabetes medications. Regular screening for diabetes-related complications may pick up a complication
that is in the early stages, and early treatment usually gives the best results.
In this section, you will find:
• Blood sugar & ketone monitoring:
The tool that tells you whether your treatment is successful
• Medications:
Includes oral medications, non-insulin therapies and insulin
• Self-management solutions:
How to analyze what is causing you to have low blood sugars and/or high blood sugars
There are different problem solving sections depending upon your type of
treatment:
• Lifestyle and therapies that normalize the blood sugar
• Insulin releasing medications (secretagogues)
• Sliding scale insulin
• Intensive Insulin
• Complications:
Reviews diabetic complications –both ones that develop rapidly (acutely) or slowly (chronically) –
how to recognize them, and what to do if they occur.
Lower back pain killer
--Stretch your hamstrings twice daily
One often overlooked contributor to lower back pain is tight hamstrings. If your hamstring
muscles—located in the back of your thighs—are too tight hamstrings your lower back
and sacroiliac joints will be stressed, leading to more pain. Hamstring stretching should be
done carefully and at least twice per day.
There are many gentle stretching exercises that should not hurt.
--Engage your brain
Pain specialists have long understood that pain is not absolute; it is more complicated than
just a sensation. The way your brain interprets and processes pain signals plays an
important role in how you perceive your pain.
The good news is that you can develop skills for your brain to reduce or ignore the pain
signals. Developing expertise in these skills can go a long way to help you have some
degree of influence over your pain.
Bonus Tip: Find activities that make you happy
Ongoing pain can wreak havoc on your life, affecting your cherished relationships, finances,
and your ability to get stuff done at work and at home. It can also interrupt your sleep and
affect your mood. Because many other problems commonly occur along with chronic lower
back pain, anything you can do for yourself that is a natural anti-depressant will help.
Some people find that even doing just 3 things that make them feel good each day, such as
enjoying a comforting cup of tea or coffee, calling an old friend, walking the dog, or receiving
a longish 30-second hug from a loved one can make pain more tolerable.
Even if you are in severe pain and are undergoing extensive medical treatments, we
encourage you to still try to remember the simple things you can do for yourself to help heal
and get stronger and healthier over time.
--Exercise your core
Watch: Why is Exercise Good for Back Pain?
The muscles in your abs and back play a critical role in supporting your lower spine. These
muscles don't get a good workout during the course of a normal day—they need to be
specifically targeted through exercise.
There are many simple exercises that can be performed in 20 to 30 minutes as part of your
daily routine. If you are just starting out, even a simple act of sitting upright on an exercise
ball for 30 minutes a day will engage your core muscles.
