Litronic-System<br />

The electronic pumpregulation uses 100 % of the available<br />

engine power. The two directly to the engine mounted in<br />

line <strong>Liebherr</strong> pumps are controlled electro hydraulically.<br />

Regulation is instant to optimally react on the requirements<br />

of power and speed. When joy sticks and foot pedals are<br />

in neutral, pump flow reduces automatically to a minimum<br />

to avoid unnecessary energy waste.<br />

With the <strong>Liebherr</strong> ECO-control the operator can easily<br />

adjust the machines performance level to the job at hand.<br />

This results in low operator fatigue, reduced fuel<br />

consumption and improved environmental protection.<br />

Swing Drive<br />

The swing drive consists of a <strong>Liebherr</strong> hydraulic motor<br />

with integrated brake valves and a <strong>Liebherr</strong> planetary swing<br />

gear. The high swing torque results in extra fast swing<br />

acceleration via the <strong>Liebherr</strong> swing ring with internal teeth<br />

which is sealed for protection from external contamination.<br />

High swing torque results in fast work cycles.<br />

Undercarriage<br />

The rail guide system front and aft consists of the guide<br />

wheel axle with wheels, a frame and two hydraulic cylinders.<br />

These deliver the required and automatically regulated down<br />

pressure to allow for the necessary friction between tires<br />

and rails. Travel drive, acceleration and braking is provided<br />

via the inner most tires.<br />

Both ends of the undercarriage are standard equipped with<br />

“Rockinger” hitches for the towing of other railroad vehicles<br />

with the help of the standard equipped tow rod. For safe<br />

work below electric wires the undercarriage can electrically<br />

be connected to the rails with the help of a grounding cable.<br />

The railroader A <strong>900</strong> <strong>ZW</strong> is available in two versions,<br />

one with and one without 4 point outriggers.<br />

Operators Cab<br />

The roomy and comfortable cab seats two persons. It is<br />

resiliently mounted and sound proofed. Oversized windows<br />

and a front shield that stores overhead offer comfort and<br />

best all-round view for highest safety.<br />

The shock absorbed operators seat is fully adjustable.<br />

Joystick controls and seat can be adjusted together or separately<br />

to best fit the operator and provide optimum work<br />

conditions.<br />

From the extra seat behind the operator's seat a second<br />

person can operate the air horn or slow the machine to a<br />

safe stop.<br />

The steering wheel is mechanically lockable for rail travel.<br />

The safety kit includes safety flags, air horn, warning sign,<br />

warning light, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and ÖCU-bag.<br />

Attachment<br />

Utilization of the most modern design methods like FEM<br />

and CAD in combination with high strength steel plates<br />

result in high availability and long live of all attachment<br />

components. Hardened and chromed pins in sealed,<br />

highly wear resistant bushings allow for extra long lube<br />

intervals.<br />

The availability of an extensive line of working tools like<br />

hoe-and many different special buckets (standard buckets<br />

equipped with patented <strong>Liebherr</strong> teeth), clamshells as<br />

well as many kinds of extra tools make this an extremely<br />

versatile machine for all kinds of applications.<br />

To further increase the machines versatility, a by hand or<br />

hydraulically operated quick change adapter for quick<br />

tool switching is a wellproven and most efficient option.<br />

The attachment will accept rail road specific tools and<br />

equipment.<br />
