hammer to tap on the adapter while holding the<br />
rotor assembly about one inch above bench with<br />
a hoist and rope sling, Figure 63.<br />

A rope sling is the most suitable device for han-<br />
dling rotors, Figure 62.<br />

CAUT~ON Uie care to prevent damage to the fan<br />
blades. Broken bladeswill throw the fan<br />
out of balance and reduce the air flow rate.<br />
If it is necessary to replace a damaged fan, sup-<br />
port rotor assembly horizontally and remove fan<br />
from rotor with a gear puller. Use the holes pro-<br />
vided in fan to attach gear puller tongs.<br />
