Eureka!
Eureka is an exclamation originating from the ancient Greek word “heurēka”, which translates roughly as: “I have found it!” The Greek engineer and mathematician
Archimedes purportedly shouted “Eureka!” while running naked through the streets of Syracuse in Sicily, after discovering what is now known as
Archimedes’ principle, while taking a bath. The principle states that any body submerged in a fluid is acted upon by an upward force equal to the weight of
the fluid displaced by the body. Since then, “Eureka!” heralds the successful solution to a difficult task.
