PERFECTING OUR CRAFT FOR FIVE GENERATIONS<br />
Family owned for over <strong>18</strong>0 years, WOLF’s English roots are steeped in history and tradition.<br />
The forefathers coming from Sweden and Germany have passed down skills from generation<br />
to generation. Over the last 15 years the brand has gained worldwide recognition and can now<br />
be found in over 60 countries. People around the world appreciate that WOLF takes care of<br />
the precious things in your life beautifully.<br />
<strong>18</strong>34 - THE BEGINNING<br />
German silversmith Philipp Wolf I created the company<br />
in <strong>18</strong>34, when he discovered that his silver pieces sold<br />
more when presented in beautiful boxes. As he began<br />
selling more boxes than silver, he refocused his designs<br />
creating sophisticated jewelry cases, which not only<br />
looked good but protected meaningful treasures.<br />
<strong>18</strong>95 - THE APPRENTICE<br />
Son, Philipp Wolf II, had been working as his father’s apprentice.<br />
An enjoyable summer in southern Sweden convinced him to<br />
immigrate to Malmö. There he started his own workshop and<br />
soon earned the respect and recognition within the area for<br />
his craft. As time passed, his sons, Ernst and Philipp III,<br />
proudly continued the tradition of box making.<br />
1930 - PHILIPP WOLF III<br />
Philipp Wolf III continued to expand the Swedish factory<br />
into its third generation of box making. After the Second<br />
World War, he embarked on long trips to America to sell his<br />
presentation boxes to newly emerging watch and jewelry<br />
markets. Progress was slow, but steady, the trips to America<br />
by sea taking up to a month each time.<br />
1962 - PHILIP WOLF IV<br />
Philip Wolf IV, the first of three sons born to<br />
Philipp III, emigrated to England to start a new factory.<br />
Over time, his highly automated factory employed<br />
over 300 people; was recognized as the largest<br />
manufacturer of jewelry boxes and display materials<br />
for all of Great Britain and much of Europe.
1988 - SIMON PHILIP WOLF V<br />
With the economy and business flourishing in England,<br />
the time was right for the Wolf family to assume the<br />
biggest challenge ever undertaken: tackling the <strong>US</strong>A and<br />
Canadian markets. It was up to Simon Philip Wolf V,<br />
with guidance from his father Philip IV, to persevere.<br />
Present Day - Celebrating over <strong>18</strong>0 Years<br />
Today the Wolf family legacy proudly continues, stronger than ever<br />
and into its fifth generation. The company works tirelessly to design<br />
the best watch winders, watch boxes and jewelry cases. Their patented<br />
technology and innovative product design in jewelry cases and watch<br />
rotators has made the company what it is today—the market leader.<br />
