RADIOGRAPH REPOSITORY, Continued Consignors will be held responsible for associating radiographs with the proper horse. If the horse name is changed on the radiographs knowingly or unknowingly, or if the images have been tampered with, the consignor is responsible for any charges incurred from a dispute. If a discrepancy is found after a buyer purchases a horse, they have twenty-four (24) hours to report it to Asteris and the Sale Co. During that time, the horse may not be moved from the premises for any reason other than a medical emergency. In an attempt to prevent “buyer’s remorse” the buyer must pay Asteris and/or the sales company an $800.00 deposit to investigate a disputed purchase. Asteris will send the radiographs to three equine veterinarians of their choice for review; the veterinarians will not be diagnosing, but only verifying that the radiographs in comparison are from different horses. If the vet er i nar i ans de ter mine that the orig i nal ra dio graphs are from the horse in ques tion, the buyer must pay all fees as so ci ated with the chal lenge pro cess. If it is found to be a different horse, the consignor will be held responsible for all charges including the $800.00 deposit and the commission fee to the sales company from the resulting lost sale. (See Special Notices for information regarding required Brand Inspections). INSURANCE: Representatives of major equine insurance companies will be at the sale. VETERINARIANS: A Sale Veterinarian (see sale personnel) will be available during the day for inspection of animals should his services be desired. STALLS: Stall assignments will be available approximately two (2) weeks prior to the Sale. Stalls will be bedded by Sale Company prior to the sale; any additional bedding and all feed is the consignor’s responsibility. Additional bedding will be available on the Sale grounds. REQUEST TO PURCHASE BY CHECK: All purchases to be made by check must have prior approval by Sale Company. A Request to Purchase By Check form is available in the catalog, on the Sale Company website, or can be faxed from the Sale Company office. This form must be in the Sale Company office no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the Sale before a check may be given. A letter of credit from the purchaser’s bank is encouraged and must be brought to the Sale if the above mentioned form has not been sent on time. REGISTRATION PAPERS: After all accounts are settled, the ownership will be transferred to the new owner. Registration Certificates for Quarter Horses will be sent to the buyer directly from AQHA; Thoroughbred certificates and repurchase papers will be sent by certified mail from the Sale Company. No registration papers, including repurchases, will be released by Sale Company sooner than 30 days after the last sale date - NO EXCEPTIONS! ABSENTEE BIDS: Absentee Bids will be handled by Sale Management. If you cannot be present to bid, contact the Sale Office. A Request To Purchase By Check or a bank’s letter of credit must be on file prior to conducting an absentee bid. SEATING: All seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reserve seating is available. Seating is available inside the Pavilion and outside in the display ring area.
