UPDATE
The clock for machine guard compliance
is ticking...
Since 2009, EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC has specified that all fasteners on machine guards
must be captive. If you have not complied by the end of 2011, you will be in contravention of the
directive and will therefore be operating illegally.
You must replace loose fasteners with captive bolts and captive quick-release fasteners. Fortunately,
Specialty Fasteners have a range of these products to help you meet the directive criteria. But if you
are uncertain of what to do, SFC have a team of applications engineers who
will be pleased to consult with you and advise on your situation.
Meet the regulations now – the compliance clock is ticking ...
