Rumour has been making
rounds that DJ Khaled, the
popular record producer, radio
personality and DJ broke a horse’s
back while riding on it. VYBZ
Media, a relatively unknown site
posted the news on Monday in
this regard, saying that Khaled
had broken a horse’s back
during his recent vacation at the
Bahamas, where the popular
hip-hop producer saddled on the
steed.
“He said he weighed 200
pounds. But our horse’s back
determined that was a lie,” the

site said, quoting an unnamed
employee of the resort. They
added that the producer/DJ
offered to pay for the horse’s
funeral. To prove the authenticity
of their news, VYBZ Media posted
a YouTube video of the heavyset
producer, repeatedly getting off
and on the horse. In the video,
DJ Khaled was also seen boasting
about his latest album, saying
that the album hit number one
two weeks in a row.
The news, which went viral
through various social media
outlets, later, proved false. DJ
Khaled’s representatives denied
the claims.

Popular Dhallywood star,
Porimoni is about to make her
debut in a Chinese film. Titled
Chasing Murder, the film will
be made based on a true event
that took place in China on
May 6, last year, and became
famous as “Xiangxia shooting
murder.”
Porimoni will be seen as a
member of international police
interrogating the murder, with
a number of actors from China
and Hong Kong, confirmed the
actor herself.
If everything goes as
planned, Porimoni will be the
first Bangladeshi to act in a
Chinese film. “It’s pleasing
to think that I’m going to be
the first Bangladeshi to act
in a Chinese movie,” she said
expressing her delight.

contacted
Christina
Turner, who
runs Horseplay,
a horseback riding
business in Nassau,
Bahamas that Khaled visited
with his family. Turner turned
down the rumour and said that
Khaled’s horse ride took place
on July 10, 2017 and lasted,
“probably less than 10 minutes.”
“I got a call from the Ocean
Club, where DJ Khaled was
staying, saying that he wanted to
do a family ride with his wife and
child…His wife rode the horse
in the water, his son rode the
horse and then he rode the horse,
and he did a little quick clip for
his Instagram. They were a very
friendly, great family,” she said.
“That was the extent of the
story,” she added, “until the crazy
rumours.”
She also confirmed that the
horse in question is not owned by
the resort.
To confirm the story, she sent a
picture of herself with the animal

riding, standing next to a copy of

Chasing Murder will be
directed by two directors,
Huxiahui and Denipang, under
the banner of Fengu Tiangxia
Film company. Shooting of the
film will take place in China
and Bangladesh, Porimoni
confirmed. •

an “internet phenomenon,”
with some describing him as
a “living meme” or “meme in
human form,” which may have
contributed in the wide spreading
