100 nominated hotels.<br />

This year we have gained the Payment Card Industry Data<br />

Security Standard (PCI DSS). Set up to ensure companies who<br />

work with credit cards do so securely, the standard focuses on the<br />

credit card transaction process and is administered and managed<br />

by an independent body of major payment cards, including<br />

Visa, MasterCard and American Express.<br />

Kimberley Graham, Operations Director at Infotel Solutions, said:<br />

"Following PCI security standards is good business and one of our<br />

objectives this year was to gain the standard of PCI compliant.<br />

It was important for us to be able to offer this extra level of reassurance<br />

for our clients who put their trust in our services, whether that's<br />

Findmeahotelroom or Findmeaconference. I believe our member hotels<br />

and venues will also benefit from this added data security which can<br />

only encourage more guests and delegates through their doors."<br />

Robert English, Senior Developer at Infotel Solutions continues:<br />

"The way we accept, process, store and transmit credit card information<br />

is done in a secure environment which our clients can continue to trust<br />

and rely on. They can also rest assured that we have robust systems<br />

in place to guarantee a fast response should any potential data risks<br />

or threats arise. Through implementing all the requirements of the PCI<br />

standard we have made it much more difficult for an attacker to gain<br />

access to data."<br />

How long have your worked at<br />

the hotel and what does your<br />

role involve?<br />

I've been here since January 2015<br />

and I'm responsible for proactively<br />

driving and supporting strategic<br />

sales activities to hit our revenue<br />

budgets. I work with colleagues<br />

in our wider sales teams, account<br />

managers and other stakeholders<br />

to encourage local business<br />

opportunities including banqueting<br />

and charity fund-raising events.<br />

What's the most rewarding<br />

aspect of your role?<br />

Satisfied customers! Whether that's<br />

a leisure guest, a corporate client or<br />

an event planner; their satisfaction<br />

is key.<br />

Can you tell us about some<br />

of the team-building activities<br />

available?<br />

We have 11 acres of grounds as well<br />

as our Business Centre so we can<br />

organise events both in and outside.<br />

We work with ACF Hospitality to tailor<br />

packages for organiser's needs.<br />

Connections is a great multi-team<br />

activity to build a railway around an<br />

island. The challenge is to construct<br />

the railway 10cms off the ground<br />

because the island's at sea level.<br />

Each team is allocated a section<br />

to build and given different roles<br />

to play!<br />

What's the most popular<br />

team-building activity?<br />

Connections is proving popular at<br />

the moment. We can hold it in or<br />

outside, it can be adapted to all<br />

group sizes and its really relevant<br />

to today's business world where<br />

communication and project<br />

management are key.<br />

Segways continue to be popular<br />

with companies looking for a<br />

more relaxed activity.<br />

With tight budgets, the buyers needs<br />

to negotiate and the marketers need<br />

to be creative and persuasive!<br />

One Tribe brings teams together with<br />

a collective goal. Divided into tribes,<br />

each one needs to communicate and<br />

work together to complete a series<br />

of short challenges to find gems.<br />

These can then be exchanged at<br />

the Trading Post for materials or<br />

information needed to build a<br />

giant pyramid!<br />

Pit Stops is for teams to plan,<br />

budget and build a non-motorised<br />

speed machine! With a racing<br />

budget set, teams visit the garage<br />

for parts and plan their design,<br />

sticking to Health and Safety<br />

regulations and the rules and<br />

regulations of the Racing Board!<br />
