A gala evening of fizzy fun underpins a serious message at the Association for Project Safety’s ninth National CDM and Student<br />
Designer Awards. The Awards celebrate outstanding contributions aimed at making work in the construction sector safer. The<br />
awards showcase innovation and exemplary practice in design and construction health and safety risk management and highlight<br />
how this can cut the number of workers who lose their lives, suffer life-changing injuries or are affected by long term health<br />
problems The Association for Project Safety’s National CDM and Student Designer Awards will be a glittering evening of celebrity<br />
fun and entertainment but they also highlight the very serious issue of health and safety risk management.<br />
Currently around one worker a week is killed on a construction project and more find their lives changed forever due to accident or<br />
ill-health. Our members are dedicated to reducing the risks and to helping clients and businesses ‘work well’.<br />
The Association’s awards are a marvellous opportunity to showcase the best of<br />
the design and construction health and safety risk management sector and a<br />
valuable way to highlight the vital importance of health and safety in<br />
construction. I believe they help strike the right balance between celebrating<br />
good practice and providing a sprinkle of star dust so everyone has a wonderful<br />
evening.<br />

House of commons Reception<br />
A special reception will be held at the House of Commons<br />
on the afternoon of the Awards Ceremony to celebrate<br />
the shortlisted entries. This is an opportunity for<br />
shortlisted candidates, and sponsors to meet to MP’s and<br />
discuss the various schemes shortlisted for the awards.<br />
All Sponsors will be given 3 tickets to this prestigious<br />
event as part of their package.<br />
Awards Ceremony<br />
Later that evening the Awards ceremony will take place<br />
and winners will be announced. The date and venue<br />
are currently TBC but it will be in central London in<br />
October 2017.<br />
