Sophie Thiébaut has been involved in
the Southwest for decades,
whether as a citizen, as a community
organizer or as borough councillor.
As the Southwest borough
councilor, Sophie Thiébaut is
known for her core values and for
producing tangible results over the
course of her two mandates.

Originally from France, a social worker
by training and mother of a wonderful
daughter, Sophie Thiébaut moved here
14 years ago and was instantly
attracted to the Southwest because of
it’s social and cultural diversity, it’s
proud history of social activism, and
it’s fierce community spirit.
Just a few of her
accomplishments…
• Obtained a global planning
process for the following sectors:
Lionel Groulx-Atwater, Canada
Malting (West of Saint Henri) and
the north of Pointe-Saint-Charles by
the end of the canal
• Brought door-to-door brown box
organic waste collection to the
borough
• Financial support for the
registration of Montreal leases
• Following and supporting green
alleyways
• For humane reasons, changing
our animal services provider to
the SPCA
Proud to be a preferred travel
agency for local businesses such
as: Northwind Traders, Contoso
Limited and Adventure Works.
