HIGHFIELDS PARKRUN: Congratulations
Highfields parkrunners. An outstanding 20 personal
best times were smashed this week.
Matthew Lewis, Isaak Brew, Ian Wickham,
Steve Donald, Shamus Garmany, Lucy Thompson,
Angie Nichols, Dick Steel, Michael Marsh,
Jason Hopgood, Tristan Smith, Jackie Cash, Angela
Sanderson, Angela Clarry, Ann Newcomb, Carlie
Kuhz, Melanie Salisbury, Jeremy Coverdale,
Sienna Schmaling and Derek Ward all made the
most of our end-of-month pacer week and shaved
time off their records. There were also a few close
calls, so we are hopeful to see even more titles fall
at July pacer week, July 29.
We also celebrated the outstanding achievement
of Mark Cameron-Davies, who reached his milestone
100 parkruns. His commitment to parkrun
is phenomenal and we are always proud to have a
Highfields member tick over to their next achievement.
We also recognised Annemarie Lyons as
our Parkrunner of the Month for her commitment
and the positive energy that she brings to Kratzke
Oval.
We also welcomed in 10 newcomers to our
course, and received feedback from one parkrun
Stargazer that we are the friendliest people yet.
Thank you to all our parkrunners, and especially
our volunteers Jason Mears, Steve Chapman, Muriel
Garrod, Sue O’Connell, Alison Towner, Martin
Hogg, Lydia Fleming, Zoe Burke, Nick Clarry,
Greg Jones, Sally Steel, Megan Hosking, Hannah
Winter and Ruby Anlezark for helping out and
making our newbies feel welcome. A huge thanks
too to our three pacers for getting involved and
helping people achieve their amazing results this
week.
Male placings: William Wade (SM25-29) was first
over the line in a very quick 18:27 - a pace of 3:42/km!
Sean Greenacre (VM45-49) was second over the
line in 20:23 but has been first to finish on 11
previous occasions. Matthew LEWIS (SM20-24)
rounded out the top three closely behind Sean in
20:27.
Female placings: Lucy Thompson (JW10)
was first (19th overall) over the line in 25:53 in
her first time in 17 appearances. Angie Nichols
(VW35-39) was second (21st overall) over the
line in 25:56 with Hannah Winter (SW30-34)
following in third (27th overall) at 27:50.
The three highest age grades were recorded by:
Isaak Brew (JM11-14) 74.82 per cent for the time
20:27 (4th overall). Logan Leerentveld (JM10)
72.88 per cent for the time 22:26 (7th overall).
Sean Greenacre (VM45-49) 70.65 per cent for the
time 20:23 (second overall.)

we still managed 21 shooters at 300 yards.
