HIGHFIELDS PARKRUN: Congratulations<br />

<strong>High</strong>fields parkrunners. An outstanding 20 personal<br />

best times were smashed this week.<br />

Matthew Lewis, Isaak Brew, Ian Wickham,<br />

Steve Donald, Shamus Garmany, Lucy Thompson,<br />

Angie Nichols, Dick Steel, Michael Marsh,<br />

Jason Hopgood, Tristan Smith, Jackie Cash, Angela<br />

Sanderson, Angela Clarry, Ann Newcomb, Carlie<br />

Kuhz, Melanie Salisbury, Jeremy Coverdale,<br />

Sienna Schmaling and Derek Ward all made the<br />

most of our end-of-month pacer week and shaved<br />

time off their records. There were also a few close<br />

calls, so we are hopeful to see even more titles fall<br />

at <strong>July</strong> pacer week, <strong>July</strong> 29.<br />

We also celebrated the outstanding achievement<br />

of Mark Cameron-Davies, who reached his milestone<br />

100 parkruns. His commitment to parkrun<br />

is phenomenal and we are always proud to have a<br />

<strong>High</strong>fields member tick over to their next achievement.<br />

We also recognised Annemarie Lyons as<br />

our Parkrunner of the Month for her commitment<br />

and the positive energy that she brings to Kratzke<br />

Oval.<br />

We also welcomed in 10 newcomers to our<br />

course, and received feedback from one parkrun<br />

Stargazer that we are the friendliest people yet.<br />

Thank you to all our parkrunners, and especially<br />

our volunteers Jason Mears, Steve Chapman, Muriel<br />

Garrod, Sue O’Connell, Alison Towner, Martin<br />

Hogg, Lydia Fleming, Zoe Burke, Nick Clarry,<br />

Greg Jones, Sally Steel, Megan Hosking, Hannah<br />

Winter and Ruby Anlezark for helping out and<br />

making our newbies feel welcome. A huge thanks<br />

too to our three pacers for getting involved and<br />

helping people achieve their amazing results this<br />

week.<br />

Male placings: William Wade (SM25-29) was first<br />

over the line in a very quick 18:27 - a pace of 3:42/km!<br />

Sean Greenacre (VM45-49) was second over the<br />

line in 20:23 but has been first to finish on 11<br />

previous occasions. Matthew LEWIS (SM20-24)<br />

rounded out the top three closely behind Sean in<br />

20:27.<br />

Female placings: Lucy Thompson (JW10)<br />

was first (19th overall) over the line in 25:53 in<br />

her first time in 17 appearances. Angie Nichols<br />

(VW35-39) was second (21st overall) over the<br />

line in 25:56 with Hannah Winter (SW30-34)<br />

following in third (27th overall) at 27:50.<br />

The three highest age grades were recorded by:<br />

Isaak Brew (JM11-14) 74.82 per cent for the time<br />

20:27 (4th overall). Logan Leerentveld (JM10)<br />

72.88 per cent for the time 22:26 (7th overall).<br />

Sean Greenacre (VM45-49) 70.65 per cent for the<br />

time 20:23 (second overall.)<br />
