be secret
and silent?

‘caught up’ is
what we called the
RAPTURE, from the
descriptions of the
events on that day,
does it appear like
something where
some people suddenly
disappear?
(Definitely not!)
11. Now, what about
those verses saying:
‘one will be taken
and one will be left’?
We’ve already established
that the coming
will not be secret, and
both the righteous and
the wicked shall see
Him. Now, these verses
in Matthew 24:40,41
seem to be kinda tricky.
Lets put them in their
context and see what
Jesus was saying His
coming will be like.
-Matthew 24:37-41 :
As it was in the days
of Noah, so it will be at
the coming of the Son
of Man. For in the days
before the flood, people
were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving
in marriage, up to
the day Noah entered
the ark; and they knew
nothing about what
would happen UNTIL
THE FLOOD CAME
AND TOOK THEM ALL
AWAY. THAT IS HOW
IT WILL BE AT THE
COMING OF THE SON
OF MAN. Two men will
be in the field; one will
be taken and the other
left. Two women will be
grinding with a hand
mill; one will be taken
and the other left.
(So He was saying that
the time of Noah, where
the flood TOOK them
away. As we already
said, we cannot withstand
His glory if we
have just one unforgiven
sin.)

12. So His coming
shall be unexpected
(but not secret) to
some. So what do
we do?
-Matthew 24:42

to the wicked
or the unsaved?

consumed. Note that
your translation may say
‘everlasting destruction’,
but don’t worry, we’re
studying that next.)

wicked remain after
they are destroyed
by the glory of His
coming during this
period?

(Remember that Jeremiah’s
prophecy goes far
beyond ancient Israel. It
reaches into the future.
It describes a universal
destruction from one
end of the earth to the
other of those who rebel
against God)

‘raptured’ people

where will the righteous

(In a nutshell, we shall
be “in My father’s
house”, reigning - and
judging - with Christ for
1000 years. Notice vs. 5:
at this time the wicked
are SOOO dead.)
17. Where will Satan
be during these
1,000 years?
-Revelation 20:1-3
(“An angel…bound him…
and cast him into the
bottomless pit...til the
thousand years should
be fulfilled.” The term
“bottomless pit” has an
identical meaning to
the description “without
form, and void” of
Jeremiah 4:23. Satan is
thus bound to the earth,
unable to tempt anyone.
The Bible uses the term
chains not as literal
chains but CHAINS OF
DARKNESS. -- See 2
Peter 2:4)
18. Oh, by the way,
how many
resurrections are
-John 5:28-29 (two!)
-Revelation 20:5-
6 (Notice that, here
John states that the
righteous that He just
described in vs. 4 are
the ones who took
part in the 1st resurrection.
That logically
means that there’s a
2nd resurrection,(and
a second death, as vs.
29 says..) We’ll find out
when those happen.)
