(3) IPC/FPC 87 Events. IPC/FPC 87 events shall not be<br />

awarded to remediate unsatisfactory student performance<br />

unrelated to unit/instructional training inadequacies.<br />

(4) Documentation. Document the awarding of IPC/FPC 87<br />

events on supplemental ATFs.<br />

b. Copilot Events. The copilot events shall be documented<br />

on separate ATFs that have the event number followed by a “C.”<br />

For example, the student will fly an I3101 and I3101C, etc. The<br />

copilot events shall not count toward the SNA’s total number of<br />

graded items, except for I3401C; however, unsatisfactory<br />

performance shall trigger the IPC/FPC process. Copilot events<br />

may be waived by the OPSO on a case-by-case basis.<br />

c. International Students. The Operations Officer may<br />

authorize additional events to international students IAW<br />

CNATRAINST 1500.4G.<br />

d. Additional Events to Meet Minimum Syllabus Time. An<br />

event flown to meet minimum night or instrument time shall be<br />

flown as a C4987 or I4687 and will meet the MIF for the block in<br />

which the ET is flown. All critical items need not be completed<br />

on this additional event.<br />

e. Adaptation Events (SXX84). The Operations Officer may<br />

grant events required for adaptation to the flying environment<br />

when requested by the flight surgeon, e.g., airsickness,<br />

eyeglasses, etc.<br />

8. Student Monitoring Status<br />

a. The objective is to focus supervisory attention on a<br />

student’s progress in training, specific deficiencies, and/or<br />

potential to complete the program. It may also be applied to<br />

students who require supervisory attention while trying to<br />

resolve personal issues.<br />

b. The Flight Leader will place the student on SMS to<br />

address substandard performance in a specific area.
