1. Prerequisites<br />

a. C4602.<br />

b. N0203 (VFR Navigation Review).<br />

c. N0101 (MPS Overview/Lab).<br />

2. Syllabus Notes<br />

a. SNA shall call the IP before the flight to obtain route<br />

for planning purposes.<br />

b. SNA shall prepare VFR sectional chart for assigned<br />

route, including (at a minimum) course line, waypoints, and<br />

“doghouse” with heading, distance, and timing at 100 knots<br />

groundspeed. SNA shall also create a jet log.<br />

c. SNA shall bring a completed DD 175 Flight Plan and/or<br />

FAA Form 7233-1 Flight Plan.<br />

d. At least one flight shall be planned using MPS.<br />

N4001<br />

VFR filing and flight procedures, special visual flight<br />

rules (SVFR), course rules, sectional/aeronautical charts,<br />

CRM, airspace (A,B,C,D,E,G, controlled, uncontrolled,<br />

special use, etc.), fuel planning/computation, lost aircraft<br />

procedures.<br />

N4002<br />

Use of GPS, wake turbulence, land and hold-short operations<br />

(LAHSO), air/hover taxi, airport operations with and without<br />

control tower.<br />

N4003<br />

Any items previously discussed in N4001 and N4002.
