To give this year a kick start, the<br />
Tropic Knits CSR Committee has<br />
arranged and provided 3 medical<br />
beds, hearing aids and an oven for<br />
the kids in APLHDM shelter.<br />
On the same track we are preparing<br />
our annual bake sale to collect funds<br />
for the upcoming event on the 12th<br />
November.<br />

About them:<br />
It's a Non- governmental<br />
organization (NGO) which exists<br />
since 2006 and was registered as<br />
an association in 2010. The<br />
association runs a specialized<br />
education school and a specialized<br />
shelter for abandoned children<br />
founded in 2013.<br />

2016<br />
Purpose:<br />
A special need school (SEN) for<br />
children between the age of 5 to<br />
25 with intellectual impairments,<br />
Cerebral Palsy and related<br />
conditions. As, they cannot benefit<br />
from the mainstream education,<br />
the SEN curriculum is modified to<br />
suit the needs of the children.<br />
Pre-vocational training is also<br />
provided for selected students<br />
aged 12 and above to prepare<br />
them for future sheltered or open<br />
employment.<br />
