Storage space range 

Pannier holder, large 

For when you need just that little bit 

more space. The large pannier holder 

can accommodate an additional 

luggage roll or top case, ensuring 

your R 1200 R can take on the longest 

of tours. 

Tank rucksack, waterproof 

The tank rucksack fits perfectly around 

the fuel tank and has a waterproof, 

expandable main compartment. 

The model for the R 1200 R also features 

a waterproof map pocket that 

can accommodate any standard-size 

road map or A4 document. 

System pannier 

Each pannier has a capacity of 

32 litres and can comfortably hold 

a helmet. Their simple closing 

mechanism means accessing items 

stored inside is easy, while the 

sophisticated design ensures the 

BMW R 1200 R retains its slim 

profile, allowing for safe and easy 

navigation of city-centre traffic. 

Top case, 28 litres 

The waterproof top case can comfortably 

store a helmet, and is easily 

attached to the luggage grid. 

Together with the back cushion 

(available as an option) it also offers 

extra comfort for anyone riding pillion. 

Inner bags 

The practical inner bags make loading 

and unloading the panniers easy. 

Small objects can be stored in either 

of the two additional pockets, and 

they are particualrly easy to carry 

around, thanks to a shoulder strap 

and carrying handle. 

Inner bags for 28-litre top case 

The top case inner bag makes loading 

and unloading the top case easy. It 

also features a practical handle, so is 

easy to carry.

Pannier fastenings 

The robust, plastic pannier fastenings 

are bolted at three points. 

Also available as special equipment. 

Inner bags 

The practical inner bags are well protected 

against water thanks to their 

bonded inner area. They also make it 

easier to load and unload the panniers 

and the top box. They have variable 

capacity just like the pannier and top 

box thanks to all-round zip fasteners. 

Panniers 

These water-protected variable panniers 

are equipped with a patented 

adjustment mechanism. The capacity 

can be reduced from 68 litres (29 litres 

left, 39 litres right) to 50 litres (20 litres 

left, 30 litres right). This is especially 

beneficial in town traffic because the 

width is reduced by 120 mm. 

Top box 

The water-protected variable top box 

can be attached to the standard 

luggage grid or In place of the pillion 

seat with the help of the adapter plate. 

It is possible to increase the capacity 

from 25.5 litres to 32.5 litres easily and 

quickly (just like with the variable panniers) 

by using an internal mechanism. 

Tank rucksack black/silver 

The tank rucksack, with a large map 

compartment, achieves new levels 

of protection against water thanks to 

its bonded inner area. A detachable 

hip-bag is integrated.

reinforced glass fibre plastic was 

designed primarily for using on the 

road and protects the cylinder head 

cover against damage.

It is easy to install and is powered by 

the cockpit power socket. Quite simply

Case holders 

Keep hold of it all. Case holders for 

the aluminium cases form part of the 

new aluminium luggage system. 

Aluminium top case 

The watertight topcase has a capacity 

of 32 litres and comes with 

lashing eyes for securing additional 

luggage. 

Aluminium cases 

Together,the two waterproof aluminium 

cases offer 82 litres of storage capacity. 

They come equipped with lashing eyes 

for securing additional luggage and 

have hinged and detachable covers. 

Matching locks are also available. 

Functional inner bags 

Transportable, watertight inner bags 

for the aluminium cases and topcase 

make loading and unloading easier 

and protect the luggage. A kit is provided 

to attach them to the case. 

Top case holder 

The top case holder serves as the 

base for the topcase and is mounted
