‘My lord! I have called my people (to the truth)<br />
by night <strong>and</strong> by day.’<br />
“But my calling them did not affect them<br />
except that it caused them to flee.”<br />
‘And every time I call them so that You may forgive them they<br />
placed their fingers in their ears (not wanting to hear me).<br />
And with their clothes they covered their faces<br />
(not wanting to even look at me).<br />
And they remained stubborn <strong>and</strong> proud <strong>and</strong> arrogant.’<br />
‘<strong>The</strong>n verily I called them openly.’<br />
‘In the open, in public I would call them,<br />
<strong>and</strong> also on a one to one basis.’<br />
‘I told them, “ Repent unto your Lord!<br />

‘And do not increase anything for the disbelievers except total<br />

‘Until our order was decreed <strong>and</strong> (the earth like) an oven<br />
