cantidad de huevos que nacieron, Ayudando de<br />
paso a las tortuguitas que quedan atrapadas<br />
en la arena. Luego de dos años este clan es<br />
responsable de ayudar a sobre 1000 crías a<br />
llegar exitosamente al mar.<br />
el grupo también realiza trabajo educativo<br />
a través de actividades como el Regreso<br />
del Tinglar, donde invitan a voluntarios,<br />
estudiantes y vecinos del área a participar<br />
en el monitoreo de las tortugas. Para Myrna<br />
esta parte del trabajo es esencial, ya que<br />
ella misma quedó cautivada en su primer<br />
encuentro con un tinglar. “Es a través del<br />
contacto directo con las tortugas donde<br />
nace querer protegerlas, y logramos que la<br />
comunidad se involucre.”<br />
Una vez salen del huevo las tortuguitas<br />
se dirigen instintivamente hacia el<br />
