4. After completing the five breath cycles, begin <strong>to</strong> pull chi down in<strong>to</strong> your Lower Elixir Field<br />

using the tips of your fingers. Start <strong>to</strong> sweep your h<strong>and</strong>s down over the solar plexus area you’ve<br />

just tapped, bringing one over <strong>and</strong> on <strong>to</strong>p of the other <strong>to</strong> replace the other as it sweeps down your<br />

central channel <strong>to</strong> your Lower Elixir Field. This action should feel like petting an animal. As you<br />

stroke your body, send loving, healing energy <strong>to</strong> your true mind.<br />

5. When you feel complete, shake your h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>to</strong> remove stagnant chi, <strong>and</strong> do a few Horse Breaths.<br />

Making Nice<br />

Making Nice brings new, harmonious, loving chi <strong>to</strong> all the organs <strong>and</strong> the Lower Elixir Field. It calms<br />

anxiety, soothes indigestion, <strong>and</strong> improves elimination.<br />

1. To soothe your true mind <strong>and</strong> bring even more healing energy in<strong>to</strong> your Sea of Chi, rub your<br />

h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>to</strong>gether <strong>to</strong> charge them. Focus on keeping your Bubbling Spring Points, your Root, <strong>and</strong><br />

your Crown open, so that you are actively channeling chi from earth <strong>and</strong> heaven in<strong>to</strong> your h<strong>and</strong>s.<br />

After charging your h<strong>and</strong>s for several breaths, place your palms over your belly <strong>and</strong> send the<br />

bounteous chi you’ve harnessed directly in<strong>to</strong> your organs.<br />

2. Women should place left h<strong>and</strong> over right <strong>and</strong> men should place right h<strong>and</strong> over left. Circle your<br />

h<strong>and</strong>s nine times over your s<strong>to</strong>mach in a clockwise motion (start by moving your h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>to</strong> your<br />

left <strong>and</strong> then down), pressing gently in<strong>to</strong> it, as you breathe deeply <strong>and</strong> smoothly. Focus intently on<br />

bringing new chi in<strong>to</strong> your organs <strong>to</strong> heal <strong>and</strong> soothe them, all the while becoming more <strong>and</strong> more<br />

aware of the sensations that arise for you as you “make nice” <strong>to</strong> your organs with these healing<br />

circles.<br />

3. After completing nine circles clockwise, reverse direction <strong>and</strong> circle counterclockwise nine<br />

times. Moving counterclockwise (start by moving your h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>to</strong> your right <strong>and</strong> then down) will<br />

de<strong>to</strong>xify your organs by reversing the flow of energy that they are accus<strong>to</strong>med <strong>to</strong>. The motion<br />

activates a variation on the healing response, causing them <strong>to</strong> release held <strong>to</strong>xins.<br />

4. To finish, repeat one more round of nine circles in the original, clockwise direction. Then give<br />

your h<strong>and</strong>s a good shake <strong>to</strong> release stagnant chi as you consciously let go of any negative thoughts<br />

<strong>and</strong> energy through your fingers, <strong>and</strong> do a Horse Breath.<br />
