Once Upon a Time
in Little India
This exhibition tells the
history of the area, drawing
parallels with diasporic
settlements across the
globe. An eclectic mix of
historical artefacts are
presented alongside items
on loan from the Indian
community here. There are
also site-specific works
by local Indian artists
displayed around the
centre.

PLAYTIME: The Complete
Works of Jacques Tati
The National Museum of Singapore Cinémathèque
presents the most comprehensive retrospective of
French screenwriter, director and actor Jacques Tati in
Southeast Asia to date. The programme will present all
six of his feature-length films as well as five rarely-seen
short films that inspired the prolific filmmaker. Tati’s
style of visual comedy and modernist experimentation
continue to inspire generations of film-makers and
performers as diverse as Steven Spielberg, David
Lynch, Otar Iosseliani and Rowan Atkinson.
