Joss Whedon steps in to
finish the movie.
Last week, director Zack Snyder
stepped down from directing Justice
League (opens Nov 16) to spend time
with his family after his 20-year-old
daughter Autumn’s suicide in March.
In a statement, Sndyer, who’s also an
executive producer on Wonder Woman,
said, “I’ve decided to take a step back
from the movie to be with my family,
be with my kids, who really need me.”
Autumn was one of Snyder’s eight
children; he has four from his first
marriage, two from another relationship,
and two more kids he and producer wife
Deborah Snyder adopted. Justice League,
currently in post-production, will now be
overseen by The Avengers writer/director
Joss Whedon, whom Snyder had brought
in earlier to write additional scenes for
the movie.
Wonder Woman opens in cinemas this Wed (May 31).
