Shunfeng is already unhappy
that Meimei has risen
to Yuye’s defence. When
Meimei goes so far as to
claim Meizhen cooks for
the family unwillingly, he is
absolutely outraged.
Meizhen too is upset.
She feels she tries her
best to integrate but the
family still treats her like an
outsider.
Super sleuth? Deng Bo picks up on the cues and tells Jinzhi that Shunshui plans to leave Yeo Yeo
Huat.
Shunfeng tells Meizhen
to bear with the injustice;
they will move out once her
lawsuit against her uncle is
settled. She objects, as the
house and coffeeshop will
then end up with Shunshui.
Jizhou makes plans to
accompany Manman to
Hong Kong.
Shunshui invites Zhigao
and A-niang to return to Yeo
Yeo Huat. Zhigao agrees
readily but A-niang wants to
think it over.
Feeling as if the whole
family, except Daming, is
prejudiced against Meizhen,
Shunfeng breaks down.
TUE JUNE 6

Yiyi is working diligently at
119 Pizza, and has even
learnt how to make a pizza.
Jiejie praises her efforts and
expresses her hope that
she and Zhenhui can get
together.
Shunfeng expects
Daming to defend Meizhen,
but the latter only laments
her difficulties.
Jinzhi senses Daming’s
pessimism. Declaring he
no longer has status in the
family and his words carry
no weight, Daming says
he might as well turn a
blind eye to avoid further
conflicts.
Meizhen understands
Daming’s situation. She
wants Shunfeng to earn the
respect of the others and
the authority that comes in
tandem.
Jiejie loses her balance
and almost falls. Dagong
catches her in time. He
continues to hold her hand
and does not let go.
He feigns ignorance.
Shunshui tells Daming
that Zhigao and A-niang are
returning to Yeo Yeo Huat.
Daming is encouraging.
Ke’ai has been
depressed since breaking
up with Shunshui. Boris
suggests she take a holiday
overseas.
Daming wants Yuye
to apologise to Meizhen.
Reluctantly, Yuye does so.
Yuye is going to meet
the boss of a China
movie company. She has
hopes for an overseas
assignment, but Daming
warns her to be wary of
being cheated.
Meiyou finds a “martial
arts expert” to replace Deng
Bo as Jinzhi’s bodyguard.
Deng Bo tests him and
finds he can’t even protect
himself.
Jiejie tells Meimei that
she and Dagong have
advanced to holding hands.
Meimei advises her to break
up with Tiancheng, but Jiejie
is undecided.
