Below is a list <strong>of</strong> items you will not want to miss!<br />

Effective August 1, <strong>2012</strong>, all new builds must comply with all Operations (Sections 100-1700) and Design & Construction<br />

standards (Section 2500). Beginning October 1, <strong>2012</strong>, all existing hotels must comply with the following Operation standards<br />

changes. Non-compliance <strong>of</strong> the following items will result in point deductions during quality assurance evaluations unless an<br />

alternative compliance date is indicated. All properties that choose to voluntarily renovate, or do so as required by a PIP must<br />

comply with the Design & Construction standards upon renovation. (updated 8/1/12)<br />

All hotels must provide free to guest (FTG)<br />

programing in each guestroom. A minimum <strong>of</strong> 20<br />

standard channels must be <strong>of</strong>fered in each<br />

guestroom, including:<br />

* All popular local standard broadcast channels<br />

* News channels (minimum <strong>of</strong> two), e.g., CNN<br />

International, BBC World News, or Bloomberg TV<br />

* Sports channel<br />

* A minimum <strong>of</strong> 5 international channels where<br />

commercially available. Nationality/language<br />

depending on the hotel’s largest nationality contributin<br />

to occupancy.<br />

* A minimum <strong>of</strong> one channel must be in English<br />

* Consult the HDTV site:<br />

www.<strong>Hilton</strong>WorldwideHDTV.com for recommended<br />

channels<br />

* High-definition free-to-guest (HD FTG) channels are<br />

based on market availability.<br />

Where appropriate, hotels should supplement this<br />

lineup with appropriate language channels.<br />

Any type <strong>of</strong> material, activity or entertainment which is not<br />

in conformity with the high standards associated with the<br />

Brand name must not be displayed on the premises. No<br />

adult content movies may be shown or televised on public<br />

space televisions. The words “Erotic” or "Adult" or similar<br />

may not be highlighted on any PayTV movie material in<br />

either rooms or common areas.<br />

A minimum <strong>of</strong> five containers are required. They must be a<br />

minimum <strong>of</strong> 14"/350 mm high and 18"/450 mm in<br />

diameter. At least one must be 18"/450 mm high and<br />
