The business is owned by husband and<br />
wife Athol and Julie Hurst, with Julie being<br />
the one who runs the day-to-day operation<br />
and fits the tyres for customers, which is<br />
unusual in the male-dominated industry,<br />
she says.<br />
They stock a large selection of new tyres<br />
from a wide range of suppliers to suit your<br />
wheelbarrow, car, van, 4wd or trailer.<br />
“There are very few brands we can’t do,”<br />
Julie says.<br />
“We also have an excellent selection of<br />
quality second-hand 4WD tyres.<br />
Other services JCM Direct offers include<br />
puncture repairs, supply and fitting of<br />
new and second-hand alloy wheels, wheel<br />
alignments, replacement factory steel<br />
rims, rim repairs and lights.<br />
“We also specialise in old rims, from the<br />
1930s to the 1970s, which people purchase<br />
for caravans and old trailers. The modern<br />
rims won’t fit those,” Julie says.<br />
“JCM Direct also do a lot of matching<br />
rims and tyres, so customers don’t have to<br />
buy a complete new set if only one needs<br />
replacing.”<br />
We can create packages to accommodate<br />
all budgets, with finance available via Q<br />
Card or Farmers Card.<br />
JCM Direct is now in a new location,<br />
on the corner of Birmingham Drive and<br />
Hands Road. Their former premises were<br />
further along Hands Road.<br />
Opening hours are Monday to Friday<br />
9.30am-5pm and Saturday 9.30am-1pm.<br />
