and connect with the wide range of diverse
natural beauty of the Biosphere on foot, by
bike, via easy access routes and even with audio
guided trails.
The East Devon coastline is designated a
UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of
its geological significance. Known as the Jurassic
Coast, it showcases perfectly the Earth’s history
going back over 250 million years. Discover more
about this fascinating coastline at the Seaton
Jurassic visitor centre. Further south, the English
Riviera has been designated a Global Geopark,
in recognition of its rich geological, historical and
cultural heritage. The highest concentration of
Blue Flag beaches in England, combined with the
English Rivera’s fantastically warm microclimate
means there is plenty of opportunity to get out
on the water and discover the incredible geology
and marine life here.
