Figure 9-12 shows all five positions of the minor pentatonic scale. Note how<br />

the scale positions overlap and how much of the neck is covered just by one<br />

scale in one key. If you can play blues using just this scale, shifting up and<br />

down the neck smoothly while playing rhythms and ideas, you have come a<br />

long way toward understanding not only the blues, but the potential of the<br />

entire guitar neck.<br />
