totally agrees. “Golf cars are not just for golf
courses anymore,” Jason says, adding how

golf cars available.
“They’re more fun to drive,” he says. “It’s
for cruising around. You can take them to the
beach. You can take them downtown. It’s better
than taking your big SUV out on the town.
We try to keep the consumer in mind. They
don’t want the golf cars their grandpas drove.”

are being seen on the streets, their popularity
is on the rise. “More of them are out
there,” Jason says, “and the more people see
them, the more people want them. Street legal
golf cars are the new phenomenon.”
Sunshine Golf Car located at 9740 W. Atlantic
Ave., has been in business since 1980.
They not only sell the latest models of new
golf cars, but they also offer pre-owned and
utility golf cars. They have a full-service
department that can service and repair all
makes and models. “Sunshine Golf Car is a
one-stop shop offering sales and service,” Jason
says. “That’s what differentiates us from
our competition. We have a huge inventory
on site of both cars, parts and accessories.
There’s really nothing we can’t do. People
can buy a new car with all types of add-ons.
We always try to accommodate our customers’
wishes. When you need something fixed
or upgraded, we will fix your existing car if
needed as well.”
Sunshine Golf Car, it’s more than just
making that sale. “We’re looking for a longterm
relationship with our customers, not a
quick sale. We also work with commercial
accounts like schools, condos, apartments,
etc.,” Jason adds.
Sensing the trend toward street legal
vehicles, top manufactures are making
changes in the products they make. “They’re
coming up with new technology, like lithium
batteries,” Jason explains. One leading
brand, Star EV, will be coming out later this
year with a brand new golf car with modern
automotive styling integrated into the vehicle
such as LED headlights, digital display on
the dashboard, and an optional backup cam-
