at the Delray Beach Club that seem to be the
longest lasting and most coveted.
“We’ve been members of the Delray
Beach Club for nine years and the social
aspect of the club is terrific. I’ve met super
nice people here and made some of my best
friends. We get together and even go on boat
trips together,” said Tim Bice.
Bice is right. The camaraderie at the club
is unique to Florida. It’s that feel good feeling
you get when you’re with people who
care about you. Some call it a second family,
others love the friendliness, and members
like Kristyn Viciedo describe it this way:
“It’s so much fun here; it’s like a home away
from home. I just celebrated my birthday
here with friends and we had a blast.”
When you add up all the spectacular events
taking place this summer it makes sense to
join the Delray Beach Club for their summer
membership. If friendship and the serenity
of a private 3.5 acre pristine beach doesn’t
entice you then their Beach Bonfire parties,
Lobster nights and Beer Tastings might.
The Summer Kick-Off – a Cinco De Mayo
Party - is always a fantastic event with live
music, Hors d’oeuvres, food stations, margaritas
and cocktails. The clubs’ summer
Luau party is also a night to remember with
a bonfire, Hula dancers, special drinks and
festivities at the pool. It’s also perfect for
families to gather together in a safe, funfilled
atmosphere that puts a smile on everyone’s
face.
Another special evening this summer is
the White Party. It’s a chance to bring out
the bright whites in your closet and enjoy
the lightness of being at the club. There are
food stations, music and dancing outside by
the pool. It’s a night to remember and one to
cherish for its joie de vie.
There are also fun-loving “Ladies Nights
Out” Cocktail parties where you can make
new friends and enjoy the camaraderie of
the Delray Beach Club sisterhood. There are
special surprises for members (and their
guests) as well as signature cocktails and
Hors d’oeuvres.
One thing that characterizes this private
club is their musical adventures. They have
an orchestra or DJ for most occasions and
dancing to trip the night fantastic. These
events are always a good time with fun a byproduct
of just showing up.
Dancing is not only one of the perks of
joining a club like this for the summer, but
it’s a way to keep yourself young and in
shape physically, mentally and spiritually.
They also have a full roster of activities
for the cerebral and sports minded. There’s
an oceanfront swimming pool, Har-Tru®
tennis courts (and tennis lessons), a fitness
center (with exercise and yoga classes) and
beach activities such as paddle-boarding
and kayaking.
This summer the Delray Beach Club
brings out the big guns for entertainment.
“Our summer members get to take part in
our elaborate holiday celebrations (overlooking
the ocean) that are second to none.
We offer family fun events and special
evenings for singles and couples that are
unique and exciting. We try our hardest to
make everyone happy,” said General Manager
Shane Peachey.
Family Fun Days are one of their signature
events. There’s a large Water Slide, DJ, Poolside
Games, Snow Cone Machine and a Buffet.
For the Adult Themed Parties they have a
babysitting service for the little ones. Called
PNO nights – it means “Parents Night Out.”
Friday evenings during the summer are
best known as “Mix and Mingle” nights.
grill room
There’s live music, Hors d’oeuvres and a
free floating fantasyland of fun. Happy Hour
takes place in the comfortable clubby Grille
Room, and dinner and dancing is de rigueur
in the crown jewel of the Delray Beach Club
– The Ocean Room.
This summer there will also be fun fueled
evenings such as the Motown Night,
Clam Bake, The Venice Night (with Italian
food, music and drinks) and a puppet show
for the kids.
The Delray Beach Club staff knows how
to refine fun, luxury and excitement for
their guests. They serenade members
with an amazing staff, special events, a fitness
center, spa services, book and theater
groups and the best view Mother Nature
ever conjured up.
