{It’s one of those things that always seems to happen to the other<br />
guy, but lo and behold; this time it was this writer’s turn. I parked<br />
my leased Toyota Camry in an uncrowded Publix parking lot for just<br />
a few short minutes, and in my brief absence, someone managed to<br />
put a few noticeable nicks and scratches on the right front fender.<br />

brush up. Big mistake; it still looks lousy. Being<br />

For a low price ($150) and guaranteed fine<br />
quality, I can return my car looking good as new<br />
to the dealer, said manager Fernando Rezende.<br />
Scratch Car, located at 1 Linton Blvd, Bay<br />
19 (on the northwest corner of Linton and<br />
Dixie Highway), is far from your usual auto<br />
paint and repair shop. “We give quick and fast<br />

service with fair pricing,” Fernando said. “Our<br />
prices are lower. We get it done quicker without<br />
jeopardizing quality. We try to accommodate<br />
our customers.”<br />
Fernando says Scratch Car can handle all<br />
types of body repairs including, full collision,<br />
painting, fixing scratches, molding, fender and<br />
bumper repair - all in a timely manner. If your<br />
vehicle needs body work, all you need to do is<br />
make an appointment at Scratch Car, and their<br />
team of trained technicians can focus on your<br />
car only. “When you come in to pick up your<br />

car,” Fernando said, “it will be ready.” If you<br />
take your damaged vehicle to most body/paint<br />
shops, your car will be just one of maybe 50<br />
cars there waiting their turn for repair. “It’s like<br />
a production line. We work by appointment so<br />
the techs will be working on only your car. It’s<br />
like going to the dentist,” he said. “They only see<br />
you at a specific time.”<br />
And Scratch Car also offers something quite<br />
unique to its happy patrons: their skilled technicians<br />
can come directly to your home or office.<br />
They have seven mobile units. “Anything<br />
that doesn’t require too much body work, we<br />
can do at (your) home,” Fernando said, adding<br />
they can paint your car, and remove most minor<br />
dents and scratches at your very own doorstep.<br />
Fernando says their “house call” service is<br />
available by appointment only Monday to Friday.<br />
Scratch Car’s mobile technicians have all<br />
the tools and equipment with them to get the<br />
job done right. Plus, these off-site repairs are<br />
available in parts of both Palm Beach and Broward<br />
counties. However, “heavy repairs” need<br />
to be done at the shop. Scratch Car uses the<br />
newest, most innovative products available to<br />
give your car fast, prompt service. Today’s auto<br />
paint contains newer, fast-drying chemicals.<br />
Scratch Car owner Adrian Cardoso opened<br />
his business because he was growing tired of<br />
waiting for things that take too long. He wanted<br />
a body shop that could get the job done quickly<br />
for its customers. Not only did the owner want<br />
to save his clientele time, but money as well by<br />
