LEIGHTON DESIGN GROUP
If
you mention the words Leighton Design
Group accolades come tumbling from the sky.
The full service design firm understands
that light, space and size intersect at all angles
of interior and exterior spaces. They also
understand that harmony is not just a verbal
command but something worked at with
passion and zeal.
And that’s exactly what they do.
Founder Chris Leighton knew by age 11
that design was his passion. He got a degree
in architecture and in 1979 became the
Design Director for Club Med in the Middle
East, Africa and the Mediterranean. In 1989
he started his own Design firm in Rochester,
New York and ten years ago he opened a Delray
Beach office.
Let’s just say there are a lot of people very
happy with his decision. “Before finding
Leighton I didn’t like any of the designers I
met because they tried to impose their vision
on me. I collect mid-century modern furniture
and have a strong design sense. Leighton
made my home comfortable and warm with
simple clean lines. Their work is so good I
hired them to design six other projects for
me,” said retired lawyer Fred Tanne.
Tanne isn’t the only one singing Leighton
praises. Everyone who works with them is
smitten with their professionalism and design
sense. When they finished the lobbies
and common areas of the Chalfonte Condominium
it was praised by all who entered.
“After seeing the Chalfonte everyone wanted
their lobbies like that. It created a huge buzz,”
said Senior Designer Rebecca Brown
That buzz continues – not just for designing
elegant condo lobbies and homes - but
