Dear Students,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to IDC Herzliya. Many of you
have arrived from overseas to study in Israel. Moving to a new
country and facing the challenges of a new environment and
culture is exciting but not an easy task. We at IDC Herzliya will
do our best to provide you with an excellent education which
will enhance your future career development, while at the same
time providing a friendly and supportive social environment.
IDC Herzliya, Israel's first private university, is in its second decade
of activity. We are known as an avangard academic institution
which considers the students as active partners in the daily life
of the campus. The following pages describe the various extracurricular
activities and special programs which take place at IDC
Herzliya.
I recommend you take part in these activities, whether as a
communal volunteer, playing on a sports team, attending Hillel
activities, representing IDC's Herzliya debating team in international
competition, simulating being a business person or diplomat at
our entrepreneurial or ambassadors clubs, singing in the choir,
of even hiking with me in the President's Hiking Club and discovering
the land of Israel by foot. Participation in these and other activities
will help you develop friendships and comraderie and help you
enjoy your IDC experience to the fullest.
