Activities of the Raphael Recanati International School (RRIS) At Home Together Adoptive Parents Project A special project of the Jewish Agency designed to bring together Israeli families and new immigrants. The RRIS staff puts the Israeli families in touch with the international students. Getting Familiar with the Land of Israel The RRIS organizes excursions throughout Israel which are designed to increase students knowledge of geographic and historic cites in Israel, strengthening their bond to the country and forging the RRIS team spirit. Included are trips to the Judean Desert, the Golan Heights and the Galilee. In the course of the academic year, trips also take place in the framework of the “President Touring Club”, under the auspices and with the participation of the President of IDC Herzliya, Prof. Reichman. Theatre Class This theatre workshop, tailor-made for Israeli and International teens, aims to develop acting skills. The year culminates with a theatrical production toward the end of the academic year. Cooking Workshop RRIS students participate in this fun and friendly cooking class that teaches how to cook tasty meals by themselves while gaining familiarity with basic cooking concepts in Hebrew. Bicycle Trip An annual bicycle trip in the Judean Mountains in which IDC Herzliya students, faculty members and staff participate. ±µ Please visit: www.rris.idc.ac.il
