letter of the alphabet.
Write the given letters
Now work out which
letters are represented
by the other numbers.
As you get the letters,
How many words of three or more letters can you
make, using each letter only once? Plurals are
allowed, but no foreign words or words beginning
with a capital. There’s at least one five-letter word.
Fill the grid so that every row,
every column and every 3x3
box contains the digits 1 to 9.
HOW TO PLAY
It’s like sudoku: each
vertical and horizontal
line has to contain
the numbers 1-6, and
the numbers can’t be
repeated in any row or
column.
But it’s sudoku with a
twist: The numbers in
each heavily outlined
set of squares, called
cages, must produce the
number in the top corner.
For example, 5+ means
the numbers add up to 5,
9x means the numbers
multiply to equal 9.
TIP: Numbers can be repeated in a cage, as long as they are not in the
same line or row.
