DELIVERING AADHAAR SERVICES

Way Forward
CSC today stands as the number one registrar of Aadhar services in the country. We have
to work hard and aim to bring the last citizen into the fold of Aadhaar and its associated
benefits. Going forward, one of the activities which all the government agencies /
departments need to do is seeding of Aadhaar numbers in their citizen database. Even
the Census may need to consider Aadhaar for all citizens. This offers huge opportunity to
the CSCs. Recently CSC has launched seeding of Aadhaar with bank accounts; a proposal
in this regard has been submitted to all national and private banks and approval received
from some banks. CSCs have a great opportunity to seed Aadhaar in bank accounts of
citizens. CSCs are also likely to receive a mandate from Rural Development Ministry and
Department of Food and Civil Supplies for seeding of Aadhaar in MGNREGA and ration
card database. The effort shall be to provide Aadhaar-based services to citizens in close
proximity to his place of residence through the Common Services Centers and support
the Government in simplifying the life of every citizen.
All CSCs across the country can start PEC and only need the Aadhaar kit (Biometric and Iris
scanner) and a certified operator. All those who want to start Aadhaar PEC can register at

By working as PECs, CSCs can help the Government in achieving transparent and efficient
governance and further enhance the credibility of the service delivery system. VLEs will
then truly be called Desh Ko Badalney Wale!
