c) Age >15 years at the time of enrolment – Residents are recommended to update their<br />
biometric data every 10 years.<br />

e) As the Aadhaar authentication service becomes ubiquitous, residents may also<br />
approach for biometric updates because of authentication failures which may result<br />
from incorrect biometric capture or poor biometric quality captured at the time of<br />
enrolment. With improvements in technology, it may be possible to capture better<br />
quality biometrics in the CIDR.<br />
<strong>AADHAAR</strong> UPDATE (DEMOGRAPHIC/BIOMETRIC & MOBILE<br />
NO): STATUS<br />
The UIDAI update policy offers facility to the resident to update/correct following fields in<br />
Aadhaar database via online through Enrolment Client and physical post:<br />
1. Name<br />
2. Address<br />
3. Date of Birth<br />
4. Gender<br />
5. Mobile Number<br />
• Any residents can visit any PEC<br />
and apply for demographic and<br />
biometric data. So far, approx.<br />
1.5 crore Demographic & Biometric<br />
updates have taken place<br />
via CSC SPV PEC’s<br />
• Advance search facilities are<br />
also available in all CSCs<br />
MOBILE UPDATE:<br />
In July 2015, CSC SPV launched an Update facility for the citizens to update Mobile<br />
numbers in the UIDAI database. Till May 2016, 169,400 mobile numbers have been<br />
updated through this facility. In the month of May 2016, 3,487 CSCs have provided Mobile<br />
Update service.<br />
