for the second half of 2017. 

We really hope that you find something of 

interest for you. We offer a wide range of 

holidays staying in a wide range of hotels - 

from luxury, to those who want something 

more economical. We strongly believe that you 

get what you pay for. 

With Highcliffe, you will travel in luxury modern

hope that once you have met our friendly office

due 6 weeks before departure. If you are booking within 6 weeks of departure full 

payment is required. 

4 If your holiday includes Home Collection we will write to you 2 weeks before 

departure to advise your collection time.

Home Collection Service 

Throughout the brochure you will notice that our Home Collection Service is indicated in the ‘Holiday 

Includes’ box. On these holidays you will be collected and returned to your home via a taxi organised by 

us. On these tours we operate a limited amount of pick up places ensuring that your holiday will start and 

end efficiently. To qualify for the free Home Collection service you must live in the 

area from Poole to Lymington and south of Ferndown. 

Home Collection from one address per room booked is provided free on these 

holidays - additional addresses may incur a charge. 

Pick Up Points 

Our Coaches 

We regularly upgrade our fleet of modern coaches to 

offer a high level of comfort and incorporate new 

safety features. Our touring coaches are specified to 

provide generous legroom making for a comfortable 

journey. Air conditioning is fitted throughout and all 

vehicles also have toilet facilities, comfortable 

reclining seats, armrests, tinted glass and seat belts. 

Our fleet is maintained independently to the highest of 

standards and we also take great pride in the 

presentation of every vehicle. 

Where our Home Collection Service is not included we operate a comprehensive selection of local collection points. We 

only collect from the local area so there will be no waiting at motorway services for other vehicles. The vehicle that collects 

you will be the only vehicle you will travel on during your holiday.

DAY 1 Departing your local pick-up point (approx. 9.00am), we travel to the historic Marlborough for a comfort 

stop before we head to The Cotswolds. Stopping in the lovely town of Stow-on-the-Wold for a lunch break before enjoying 

free time in Bourton-on-the-Water with its delightful low stone bridges. We arrive at our hotel late afternoon with time to relax 

and perhaps enjoy the leisure facilities before your 3 course dinner with choice of menu. 

DAY 2 After breakfast we head for Cheltenham. This stylish Spa town has a wonderful centre to explore with 

fantastic shopping and parks. From Cheltenham we travel up to Evesham and stop at the charming village of Broadway - 

‘The Jewel of the Cotswolds’. Time for lunch in one of the cafes or restaurants before continuing to the medieval town of 

Burford. After time to 

explore we start to

DAY 1 Collected from your local pick up point around 8.30am we have comfort stops as

DAY 2 After a full English Breakfast we depart to the impressive Chatsworth House. The 

magnificent House and Capability Brown landscaped gardens are truly impressive - 

one of England’s most popular destinations. The house has over 30 rooms to 

explore, from the magnificent Painted Hall, to the family-used chapel, 

regal State Rooms, newly restored Sketch Galleries and beautiful 

Sculpture Gallery. The 105 acre Chatsworth garden provides plenty to

National Memorial Arboretum 2 Days - £85 

The National Memorial Arboretum is 

the UK’s year-round centre of 

Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting 

place which honours the fallen, 

recognises service and sacrifice, 

and fosters pride in our country. 

The Arboretum is part of The Royal 

British Legion family of charities and 

is set in the pleasant Staffordshire 

countryside between Litchfield and 

Burton-upon-Trent. Visitors enjoy a 

wide variety of trees, many of which 

have a relevance to the memorials 

around them. Planting started in 

1997 and there are already over 

50,000 trees planted over the 150 

acre site. Conceived as a living 

tribute to the war time generations 

of the 20th Century, the Arboretum 

is a reminder for future generations 

to enjoy. But it is not only the service 

of soldiers that is recognised as 

there are numerous gardens 

acknowledging the sacrifice of the 

civil services and many more. Many 

people have commented that a visit

Excursion as described 

New for 2017 - Due to open at the end of 2016 - a new 

£multi-million Remembrance Centre featuring a remodelled 

restaurant and separate cafe, a large welcome area, and 

the addition of an exhibition space dedicated to the 

interpretation of Remembrance. 

DAY 1 Departing your local pick-up point 

approximately 9.00am, we shall have an extended lunch 

stop at Stratford upon Avon before continuing on to the 

hotel. Arriving late afternoon with time to relax and maybe 

take a swim before dinner. 

DAY 2 After breakfast we make the short trip to the 

National Memorial Arboretum where we shall stay until 

3.30pm. There is no admission charge but donations will 

be gratefully accepted. Lunch can be taken in the Arbour 

Restaurant. Returning back to the local area around 

7.30pm with comfort stop on route. 

Holiday Inn Birmingham 

The Holiday Inn Birmingham is set in 7 acres of 

landscaped grounds and offers a very good 

standard of accommodation and facilities. All the

Situated a short stroll in to the pleasant town of 

Coleford, The Bells Hotel offers the largest 

leisure complex in the Forest of Dean. This 

traditional property has a fine bar lounge and 

restaurant where you will enjoy a hot buffet

Leisure facilities include an 18 hole golf course 

(club hire available), county standard bowling

The city is looped by the River Wear which 

encircles the UNESCO World Heritage sites, 

Durham Cathedral and Castle. The county has 

many attractions including the award winning 

Beamish Museum which explores the mining & 

industrial heritage of the region. To the west, the 

Durham Dales are made up of Teesdale and 

Weardale and is a peaceful, rich and varied 

landscape of moors, hills and valleys dotted with 

picturesque villages and market towns. A 

marvellous destination for a lovely holiday. 

DAY 1 Collected from your home around 

7.30am we have refreshment stops

Cathedral is a breathtaking 

example of Romanesque architecture and one of the finest Norman buildings in the world. Durham has a lovely 

atmosphere with riverside walks and plenty of excellent shopping. 

DAY 3 A superb day today as we are joined by our local guide for an enjoyable commentary as we travel through some 

dramatic scenery. We head for the town of Barnard Castle and visit Bowes Museum (included). A remarkable 

French Chateau with a stunning collection of European art. From here we continue for a tour of the wonderful 

Durham Dales. A memorable day out. 

DAY 4 Excursion to the award winning Beamish Living Museum. Experience a real sense of your past at Beamish, 

and discover what life was like in Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian times. (inc.) 

DAY 5 Sadly we depart the hotel after breakfast and journey home with refreshment stops on route. Returning to the

machines in a visit to this historic site. Check out the tales of

Cathedral, the oldest in England, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which has played such an important part in

DAY 1 Collected from your local pick up point around 9.30am, we have a stop

DAY 2 In the morning we have an excursion travelling down the other side of 

the Exe estuary to the town of Teignmouth. Teignmouth has a lovely 

selection of shops, gardens and parks with an attractive seafront

return to Exmouth. 

DAY 3 Late morning we depart for Exeter. Much to see in this historic city 

which has one of the finest Cathedrals in the country and delightful

DAY 4 We head home after breakfast with an extended stop in the charming

DAY 1 After being collected from your home around 

6.00am we travel to our hotel in Liege, Belgium via the 

Eurotunnel with comfort stops as required - arriving early 

evening. Our hotel is the excellent quality Park Inn by 

Radisson Liege Airport - set 3 course dinner. 

DAY 2 We depart after breakfast and travel in to Germany, 

enjoying the changing scenery and with comfort breaks as 

required before arriving at our Berlin hotel late afternoon. Head 

out and take a stroll to nearby Potsdamer Platz. 

DAY 3 This morning we are joined by a local guide for a 

half day coaching & walking tour of this exciting city. Among the 

sights are the new Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, visit the 

house at Checkpoint Charlie, the ''Wall' and much more. 

DAY 4 We head out of the city today with a short journey to 

Potsdam, marvel at Potsdam's twelve palaces, including the 

fantastic Sanssouci Palace, summer residence of King

Tiergarten Park in a nice area, just a 15-minute

Lake Garda is, without doubt, one of Europe’s most beautiful destinations. Here, Italy’s largest lake meets the Alps creating a 

splendid natural scenery as the mountains seem to plunge straight in to the sparkling blue waters of the lake. The wonderful 

climate of the area has created verdant valleys where rich vegetation including lemons, oranges, olives and grapes flourish. 

Dotted along the shores of the lake are towns and villages which are best reached by taking one of the many pleasure craft 

which cruise on the lake. 

We have included an excursions with a local guide to Romeo & Juliet’s romantic Verona and the incomparable Venice. Our 

journey to Italy is part of your holiday and by taking two overnight stops we ensure that the travelling days are not too long and 

with plenty of comfort breaks you arrive in Italy ready to enjoy your 7 night stay in Riva del Garda. This tour has been highly

DAY 2 After breakfast we depart the hotel and continue through the French

DAY 3 Beautiful day travelling today as we pass through the amazing 

mountain scenery of Switzerland before descending in to Italy. 

Arriving at our hotel in Riva del Garda early evening. 

DAYS During these days we have organised for two fantastic excursions. 

4 to 9 Whilst you are in the region, a visit to Venice is a must and we will 

show you some of the best sights and the fascinating history of 

this unique destination. Our other excursion with a guide, takes us to 

Verona, home to the love story Romeo & Juliet and a historic gem to 

explore. The rest of your time is at leisure with plenty of time to relax, 

take a boat trip on the lake and soak up the atmosphere. 

DAY 10 Sadly we depart Lake Garda and travel back through Switzerland to 

our 3* hotel in Mulhouse. (Dinner Bed & Breakfast) 

DAY 11 After breakfast we travel back to our last overnight 3* stop near 

Reims. (Dinner Bed & Breakfast) 

DAY 12 We leave the hotel in the morning and board the early afternoon 

Eurotunnel crossing back to Folkestone. Arriving back in the local area at 

approx 7.00pm ; returned home via our home collection service.

In accordance with “The Package Travel, Package 

Tour Regulations 1992” all passengers booking with 

Highcliffe Coach Holidays are fully bonded for the 

initial deposit and subsequently the balance of all 

monies paid to us, including repatriation if required 

arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your 

travel arrangements due to the insolvency of 

Highcliffe Coach Holidays. 

We are members of the Bonded Coach Holiday 

government approved consumer protection scheme 

administered by the Confederation of Passenger 

Transport UK. This ensures that, in relation to the 

coach package holidays described in this brochure, your monies are 

protected by a bond in the unlikely event of our ceasing to trade. You are 

recommended to inspect our current membership certificate at our registered

As members of the BCH we comply with the BCHG Trading Charter. A full 

copy will be provided with your booking or can be requested before booking if 

you prefer. 

GENERAL INFORMATION & ADVICE 

We want you to be as happy as possible from the moment you select your 

holiday until you return home. Along with the hotels which we use, we try our 

very best to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. To help you to make 

the right selection and for what you can expect from us, please take a 

moment to read the following points. 

LUGGAGE 

Due to space & weight restrictions the maximum 

suitcase size per person is 70 x 50 x 23cm. The 

maximum luggage weight per person is 20kg. A 

small separate holdall can also be taken on 

board. These restrictions are placed as a 

matter of safety and we thank you for your 

assistance. 

Porterage is provided at some of the hotels 

that we use. If not included it is usually 

available if required. This may incur a small 

additional charge which will need to be paid by 

you directly to the hotel. 

HOTELS 

We offer a range of hotel 

accommodation which have different 

levels of comfort, facilities and quality. 

When selecting your holiday please 

ensure that the quality will match your 

requirements. This is generally related 

to the cost of the holiday but if you have 

any specific requirements please talk to 

our staff who will be able to help. 

Some of our hotels have chosen not to 

be members of the RAC/AA and as 

such are not star rated. This is not 

necessarily an indication of a lower 

standard of accommodation. 

If you have special requirements please notify us as soon as possible. The 

hotel will be notified before your arrival but please remember that rooms are 

allocated by the hotels. 

Rooms for Single Occupancy are in high demand and very often are sold out. 

Some hotels charge a supplement for these rooms, the cost of which is 

indicated in this brochure. 

We try to indicate all the room and hotel facilities for each hotel within the 

information in this brochure but cannot accept liability for any alterations 

made by the hotel before our arrival. Sometimes amenities such as swimming 

pools and lifts may be out of service whilst entertainment may be curtailed, 

altered or cancelled due to hotel number. 

Hot drink making facilities are not normally available in Continental hotel 

bedrooms but are usually available at the bar/café. 

When travelling abroad, you should expect the food to be served in the 

national custom and therefore different to British cuisine. For some hotels, 

particularly overnight hotels the restaurant will serve a set menu. If, when you 

are at the hotel, you require an alternative this is normally available but may 

incur an additional cost for you. 

These days, many hotels are excellent at providing Special Diets. Please let 

us know as soon as possible so they can make preparations early. 

Many meals are taken as a group in the restaurants and usually involve 

sharing tables with 2 or more other diners in our group. 

HOLIDAY ITINERARIES AND SUITABILITY 

We pride ourselves on the planning of our holidays to provide an exciting and 

enjoyable holiday experience. Many are planned months in advance and may 

require adjustment to the itineraries due to changes at destinations or 

attractions. 

Our itineraries are displayed in the brochure and you should carefully 

consider suitability before booking your holiday. You are, of course, quite 

welcome not to join any particular excursion during your holiday. 

Provided we are informed before departure, we are happy to take manual 

walking aids and folding wheelchairs up to 15kg in weight. Unfortunately, we 

are not able to carry any electric wheelchairs or scooters, although these are 

often available to hire at the destination. 

HOLIDAY CANCELLATION 

If we have to cancel a holiday this is always done well in advance of your 

departure date and a full refund is given. 

Due to the contract obligations and financial commitments we have with
