Cried Out<br />
Standing here in the cold<br />
Close to evening time<br />
Screams and prayers being mumbled<br />
Is all I can hear coming from the front of the line,<br />
Is this the end?<br />
That’s it?<br />
Nothing else left for me to see?<br />
It is like I have only seen the worst that can be,<br />
People being killed,<br />
Forced to do work and fighting over just a bit to eat<br />
I look towards the sky asking,<br />
“Lord please tell me why me?”<br />
When will this be over and done?<br />
But I think we have all known there is no good to<br />
come,<br />
My dreams of happiness and good<br />
have all faded away,<br />
Knowing no one can help me one inch of the way<br />
The line seemed to shorten,<br />
I, next to die,<br />
I waited, tears to fall one at a time,<br />
But I’m all cried out,<br />
I won’t waste my strength,<br />
