I would like to tell you about a friend of mine<br />
He is green and he can be mean<br />
He is not very clean<br />
He is nice, once you talk to him<br />
Though not very slim<br />
We are good friends<br />
Not because he wears the latest trends<br />
He is just like us<br />
He does not make a fuss<br />
But only when he’s chased by a bus<br />
His home is in the forest<br />
So you would think he would smell of a florist<br />
But you are wrong my friend<br />
He tries to be clean, but we have to pretend<br />
He likes to swim, and run<br />
He is a load of fun<br />
Wouldn’t you like to know my friend?<br />
I’m sorry to tell you that this has a bitter end<br />
He is only pretend.<br />
But he is my best friend<br />
He has yet to betray me<br />
We still meet under the willow tree<br />
And play different games, you see<br />
“I WIN!” he exclaims<br />
Our time has ended<br />
But it has been splendid<br />
Wouldn’t you like to learn his name?<br />
It has been like a waiting game<br />
