Dark<br />
The trees sway gently<br />
the temperature drops<br />
the night is dark<br />
and the fog grows thick<br />
the air is gloomy<br />
there is a deep silence<br />
These nights- in this palce- not too welcoming<br />
For people cower in fear<br />
for an apparition to be seen<br />
and a secret would be hidden<br />
a scream inaudible<br />
a jurisdiction broken<br />
and the world would never know.<br />
Ethics don’t exist anymore<br />
Any innocent can become volatile<br />
You can’t trust anyone<br />
because no lie would be plausible<br />
even if they look so true<br />
But if you enter this place<br />
you must watch your back; be assertive when cornered<br />
If not, your story will have no sequel<br />
Nor an epitaph on your grave<br />

The Night<br />
The night was filled with antics<br />
by all those who roamed the streets<br />
We collaborated on highjinx<br />
the bloodiness was not for the meek.<br />
We roamed congested alleys and lanes,<br />
encountering churlish rebels<br />
The dreary and dark streets were<br />
mobbed with demons and devils<br />
