Every offshore plant and installation
requires certification. The structural
design, topside critical components
and pipelines must meet established
standards.
RINA’s Industry Division can examine
and certify that the design and
components conform to the agreed
standards. Offshore operators can
benefit from using RINA’s own
specific standards or a range of
applicable international standards.
RINA is experienced with certification
services for offshore plants and
facilities for the production
and transfer of oil and gas from
the offshore extraction site to
measurement and control stations on
land. Certification delivers peace of
mind to operators and also
ensures compliance with applicable
legislation.
Projects
lifecycle
RINA’s experienced surveyors know
the rules and know the operating
environment. Their professional
approach to ensuring compliance is
built on experience and constant
updating. Certification adds to the
process by ensuring everything
works as it should.
Certification covers the project from
conception through detailed design,
procurement, construction and over
its service life, up to decommissioning
or re-qualification.
All stages of construction benefit from
certification. And they also benefit
from RINA’s experience in delivering
the certification services which are
right for the project.
Transportation and installation of
major maritime units are critical
stages in every offshore project. That
is where offshore operators can
benefit from the experience of RINA’s
Industry Division Marine Warranty
Survey teams. Their independent
knowledge and experience save time
and eliminate problems during
complex logistical and installation
phases of a major project.
Our in-house engineering staff checks
and review the design and planning
of marine operations, starting from
load out from the fabrication yard,
through transportation to installation
completion at the offshore site. A
full review of engineering drawings,
calculations and procedures
developed by contractors is carried
out. RINA’s teams recommend the
actions necessary to meet the
requirements of RINA regulations and
the most appropriate international
standards.
The presence of our inspectors during
marine operations completes the
certification process, by documenting
the conformity and correct execution
of the works to provide all parties with
an authoritative warranty.
