THOMAFLUID ® -Annularly <strong>Co</strong>rrugated Hoses<br />

General product specification<br />

• <strong>Co</strong>rrugated hoses are thin-walled, cylindrical components with a corrugated<br />

structure in their surface area. Annularly corrugated hoses are<br />

technically superior to helically corrugated hoses. Their profile direction<br />

perpendicular to the hose axis enables an undisturbed interface of the<br />

connection fittings and thereby increases the process stability during<br />

assembly and in service. In addition, annularly corrugated hoses do not<br />

produce torsion loads with increased pressure or pressure shocks. Thus,<br />

today annularly corrugated hoses are generally preferred.<br />

• Through their corrugated structure, metal hoses are flexible and pressure<br />

resistant. They are leakproof, temperature and corrosion resistant<br />

as well as torsionally rigid and are used in the following applications:<br />

for transport of liquids and gases under pressure, as vacuum pipe,<br />

as economic, flexible connection for absorbing movements, heat<br />

expansion and/or vibrations plus as filling hose.<br />

• When configured correctly, the metal hoses are robust and nearly<br />

maintenance-free components with a high degree of operational<br />

​ safety and a long service life.<br />
