ROWLEY - Works of artist Patty deGrandpre on display at Rowley Public Library - Patty deGrandpre became
an artist by drawing houses without walls; it came naturally to her to focus on what was inside. Her unbound
visions from childhood have since grown into mature works of abstract art. Patty’s unique compositions and
color combinations aim to make the viewers look closer and look again, as she hopes they might discover a little
more each time. She often creates her artworks in pairs and families using a combination of paint, pastel, and
ink with unconventional mediums such as carbon paper, blue print paper, vellum, drafting film, ammonia, and
her typewriter. Her work will be on display through March at the Rowley Public Library, 141 Main Street in
Rowley. For more information, call 978-948-2850.
