AMESBURY - Pete McDade is a local poet who has been characterized as “the best reader in Eastern<br />

Massachusetts” will be the feature at Amesbury Public Library on March 28th. His tenor voice and focus on<br />

the words he is speaking transfix his audiences. Pete McDade’s first collection of poetry is entitled, Columbia<br />

Thunderbolt. “Pete is an amazing man who writes powerful & thoughtful poetry. His book is wonderful!” -<br />

Kathy Kelleher. He is a member of the Ipswich Poetry Group. The library hosts a monthly poetry series with<br />

an open mic, 6 – 7:30PM Each month Business there is a featured poet followed Spotlight<br />

by a discussion, an open mic and light<br />

refreshments. Lainie Senechal, Amesbury Poet Laureate, hosts this event. The library is located at 149 Main St.<br />

IPSWICH - April 10, 20<strong>17</strong>, from 6pm-8pm at Ipswich Town Hall,<br />

Meeting Room C, 25 Green Street, Ipswich. Temporary Food Events<br />

are enjoyable community events for all. The Ipswich Public Health<br />

Department wants to help organizations planning these events understand<br />

Massachusetts food regulations, the permit application process and safe<br />

food handling. This training is designed for event coordinators, event<br />

volunteers and food establishment operators that may participate in<br />

temporary food events. Temporary food events present special challenges<br />

since they may operate either indoors or outdoors and often have limited<br />

physical and sanitary facilities available. Join use and learn about your<br />

role in having a safe and successful temporary food event. Call the Public<br />

IPSWICH - Town Clerk, Pam Carakatsane reminds dog owners that<br />

all dogs must be registered by March 31, 20<strong>17</strong>. The registration fee<br />

is $<strong>15</strong>.00 for spayed/neutered dogs and $20.00 for intact dogs. After<br />

March 31st non registered dogs are subject to a late fee of $10.00 for each<br />

month or part thereof said license is issued after March 31st (Ipswich<br />

Town By-laws Ch. XV, Sec 5). Licensing can be done in person during
